  • Great video John. Cant wait to see the other uses of the Juniper. I didnt know that is was that useful.

  • Just need to pan the camera in closer to see the gear better.

  • Great video John! As always. Video quality has been improved a lot! that new camera was a great deal! 5*

  • I love the way you talk... Almost like a serious Forrest Gump. Great Videos.

  • More like Billy Bob Thornton

  • i had a feeling that would be the best way.. thanks Arizona Bushman!

  • LOL, John @ 5:36 you kind of look like Jack Sparrow!! :) had to break your balls a bit!! Glad to see the hammock in action again!! Give you a shout soon buddy!!

  • Another great vid 5/5. What is the best place to find information on wild plants in your local area? As you say, don't ever eat a wild plant or use it unless you are 100% sure you know what it is.

  • you should demonstrate how you would clean your cup in the desert... If you had to

those eggs and bacon looked delicious man!

  • i just use sand it works great

  • A little Blair Witch-y in the beginning.

    Spooky

  • what kind of multi-tool you rockin' john?

  • I always like the scambled egg moutain house, makes an easy, hot breakfast. I'm not sure if you have more than one species of juniper but it would help discussing the different species for people as well. 5*

  • You can make a tea with the berries of the juniper. It will calm an upset stomach. WARNING MAY BE TOXIC. If you ingest large doses or for a period of more then a month, it may cause kidney failure, convulsions and digestive irritation. Moderation is the key. 5/5

  • Good for the Gout also.

  • That's a perfect matching pair. Maybe they'll design and sell another stainless cup that's twice as deep that has a threaded top for a stainless steel lid that can also be threaded to the bottom of the cup for when you store the water bottle inside it. If they put a small drinking hole in the lid it would be perfect for making char cloth inside.

  • the new cam has night vision? 5*

  • Does that cup nest over your water bottle? I have the same guyot design standard 38oz bottle, however none of the cups I tried fit over it. I'm trying to make a more compact system to fit in my bushcraft pack

  • Yes it does. It fits nicely! When I get to my Guyot review I will talk about that.

  • Very interesting John!

  • good video

  • Wasn't the grand hammock recalled because of fall hazards?

  • I am not familiar with that hammock. This one is the The travel hammock double but Grand Trunk.

  • Thanks John , Yes , it has been cold here at night in Prescott too .

  • the best part about that cup is that it will nest on the bottom of a nalgene bottle too

  • Have you seen the carrier for them? I found one at Cheeper than Dirt for like 18 bucks. That is next on my list lol. I do like the fact that the fits on the bottles.

  • Awesome video John, That hammock looks great. Gotta love that GSI gear to!

  • I need the link to the double hammock. I am looking for one. Good review and vidio. If you would show a close up of the leaves, I would like it better.

    Good job.

  • I guess it wouldn't let me post the link on the comment. I went ahead and put it on the description. The Travel hammock double is a really good hammock in my opinion. I slept pretty well in it. As for the Juniper leaves. I will go in depth on that very soon. Thanks!

  • Excellent video bro, keep it up! 5/5

  • Yet another great video John, I love your channel. I travel to Southern Utah and Northern Arizona every couple years for 2 or 3 weeks just to get out and hike and enjoy the desert, and watching your videos just makes me want to go more!
