How many string you putted on your cajon? The glare on the plexiglass makes it look like 3 string were putted there but most cajones I had seem normally have only 2 strings. I just curious about it.
Yes it's plexiglass. And the cajon is full wood, so no multiplex, but average pine 18 mm thick. It sounds crisp. I tried it on a multiplex box but it did not work. Maybe ABS would sound a bit stronger, or acrylic.
this "instrument" is derived from the streets of cuba, where they were so poor that even a cardboard box became an instrument....now it is mass-produced,and a total hit...cajon...sounds better than "cardboard box"....
I build this cajon to show how a cajon works, people always want to look trough the holes to see what's inside.
The sound is nice too, I used some different wood as well, it'scandinavian pine 18 mm thick.
So I can build one for you, my normal cajons are made from the usual materials, this one is really special. If you are interested I can make you one! Where do you live? We also heve to think about the shippingcosts etc. but we could figure that out!
