The fuel consumption estimator display is a useless gimmick since it never reads out a useful number. It can fluctuate between 89 mpg to 10 mpg without changing speed or road grade. I am not sure what is the purpose of that.
The redial function on the bluetooth does not work.

think about it guys. why would anyone bring an ugly car in production, because there are more people buying it and liking it. it has some of the best feature as standard that other cars in its class would be considered as extra

Um, no you're wrong. More horsepower, better fuel economy, stiffer chassis, and more tech features makes the 2010 mazda 3 better then the 2004-2009 versions. You can spin it all you want but this new version is technically better. Now if you want to argue about looks then that is a whole other matter and that is personal preference. As for me I think this car looks better then the outgoing model, it has better features, better performance, and I'm sure this car would look amazing in black.
if you look more closely as the car drives by, the "big smile" is nothing more than black paint shaped to look like a smile. If you were to remove that black paint and replace it with the same colour as the rest of the car, you would have no smile anymore, just the normal front end of the car.
Sorry wppdoes, it's actually not just black paint - I bought one of these in sedan a few days ago so naturally test drove one, and unfortunately the "smile" is a plastic external fitting. You are right about the the color blending though, I ordered a black one so the face isn't so prominent. I have to say, these cars and absolutely amazing to drive.
Either way, the same result. Maybe even easier to correct of the plastic part is removable thus making easy to paint part or all of it the same colour as the car. That yag smile is hideous. You lucked out with the all black version. Less embarrasing to be seen in since the yag smile is camoflouged lol.
I hope the Mazdaspeed3 gets a different grill. I'm planning on getting as my next car in three or four years. Maybe if I'm lucky they'LL remodel it by then.
I agree. I don't like it, looks too much like a Matrix. I am glad I bought a 08 Mazda 3hb before they came out with this crap. I think they are going to lose the younger crowd that liked the sportiness of the last model.

I sure as hell won't buy another Mazda3, with this ugly front end design. Mazda messed up, they took a car that was sleek, well balanced, and had a beautiful design, and turned it into cheap, fugly, trout pout, with that oversized ugly grille, that looks like a giant blowfish sticking its lower jaw out.
Sorry Mazda, either change the front end to something sleek, stylish & sporty, like the old 3, cause I sure as hell won't buy this current model being that it has a bad case of the fuglies.
Fine, don't buy one. That will mean one less person driving the same car I'm driving. You're the one missing out if you don't buy this car, not Mazda. The front grille isn't nearly as bad in person as it is in pictures and videos and there's so much this car does and comes with for such a good price that if the grille is the only thing keeping you from buying it then...well...you're just an idiot.

Not an idiot here, I just havta like the car I buy, that's all. And, I don't like the styling of this new design anymore. Would you buy a car that you thought was ugly? Truth be told, the design that Mazda used for the Mazda3 2004-2008 was the best one they had, that design made me want to own the car, which I do. This redesign, is just too strange and awkward. I saw the car in person recently, and it's just as ugly in person as in the pics. Enjoy the new Mazda3, cause I sure won't.

I agree, it doesn't look like a mazda3 anymore, it looks like a toyota or nissan, & if they insist on putting the grill below the headlights (as opposed to in between them as it was in the original), they should not have made it so enormous, it looks terrible.
I didnt really like this look for the Mazda 3 at first. But it has grown on me (: love the look now

I really like the look of the car. Granted it is not photogenic, but if you see it in real life it really looks good.
You guys bellyache about how great the previous model looked. Last years model was boring... and looked like a Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe.
I liked the 3 so much I bought the 4-door last week.
