  • Itaipu is the most impressive investment done by a third-world country : ist is a huge and an inteligent source of electricity ( clean energy ) , a very smart and strategic ( pacefull ) way to consolidate our hegemony in all Latina America and a very interesting contract that allows a country - as Paraguai - to have energy generated at very low price and used to pay its part of investment.Clever and brilliant

  • @Rosebaumer Brazil WAS a 3rd world country! Today it is a second-world country......

  • this dam was a fucking mistake.

  • nice powerplant , but editing sucks

  • I believe is the world's second biggest hydroelectric powerplant

  • it was the largest for many years, until Three Gorges on China was built. But Itaipu still produces more energy.

  • @rogerpenna Finally a true comment! ;)

  • @sweetrottweiler

And I am brazilian! But I do not believe in nationalism. Anyway, I heard Itaipu still produces more energy in the yearly total output, because the flow of the Paraná river is much more stable, thus Itaipu is always near maximum capacity, while the Three Gorges Dam has months with less river flow, resulting in a smaller total output in the end of the year. Can anyone check this fact?

  • @rogerpenna Eu tambem! I also don't believe in nationalism but i think we can be proud of our country.
