I play for hours IF I have the time becouse of the elevators & escalators. I like shooting from the elevator & jumping out of it on enemies. If an enemie gets stuck under or above the elevator TOO BAD. When I step onto one of them elevators I have my battle beast.

I played the hell out of this as a kid..

I used to pronounce it "Tay-to" as well. It's "Tie-to". Though there is a Taito Of America as well as the Japanese parent company; maybe they pronounced it "Tay-to" here.

Almost surprised, what with all the video game movies we've seen released, that this one didn't become a feature film. Although a movie with "Elevator" in the title is kind of silly (well, there is a film called "The Lift", and yeah, it's silly).

At my local hospital, there's a monitor in the lobby that shows where all the elevator cars in the building are in real time, and it looks EXACTLY like this game.

I remember when a 7-11 about 4 blocks from my house had this game and the Star Wars arcade game side-by-side. I was about 14 at the time, and I lived in that store for a couple of months. Cheap hot dogs and Super Big Gulps for the win!!

@NitromeSupporter Actually, most arcade games were 60 FPS. Most of the stuff I get only comes out at 28-30 FPS. I'm working on trying to get the FPS higher.
