@maxandtyler123 The pink one is a Red Ryder BB Gun and I bought it from nutnfancy? Have you heard of him? It is for a fund raiser we are having for cancer cure.
@ArtisanTony np could you make a video with alex shooting his .22 lr some more??? if you have the time and money of course... And did you ever have any luck with the Nutnfancy red rider give away
@ilovetoshootguns did you check, we have a few videos of Alwex shooting the 22 and others liks the AK. We will be going to the range again soon though. They postponed the fund raiser till the fall of this year but yes! we are still going to do it Thanks!
@ArtisanTony np im actually saving up quite a bit money to try to win the auction... Its a nice gun and i see that its being takin care of.. Dont ave the money yet but im sure am going to get it... i love those guns...
@nextraincloud1989 It is fine. It is just that I get a bunch of trolls on this video for some reason. All of them making fun of my son and it gets old. That is why I had to set comments to approval only. Thanks!
Good that your teaching him to shoot! Next is a 22 i guess eh.
He'll learn pretty quick not to shoot like that with a 22lr. Not too much recoil, but theres enough in a 22 to snap the scope back at your eye if your not holding it right. Happened to me the first time a shoot a powerful air rifle. :D
@StupidMuggles I tested our target medium before letting Alex shoot at it. It is foam-core and keeps does not allow the BB to bounce back. It absorbs the energy of the BB. I would not let him shoot at a target that would endanger him. Thanks!
lol i'm 26 and still shoot my red ryder bb gun from time to time.
must have a good 100,000 plus bb's through it over the years. i lost count on my 30th container of 4000 count BB's and its been about 8 years since then.. so hell maybe over 100,000?
If/When he starts shooting guns with larger hunting rounds... .38 special-30-06-7.62mm He will need to learn to pull the butt stock into his shoulder other then that small issue looked like good skill building fun!
@hunterziegelmann lol the kid is like 10~12 years old, hes probably going back inside to eat a bowl of cereal and watch sponge bob.. sometimes trying to tell someone how to do something ruins the fun and moment of the situation. long as hes not about to plink his eyeball out (or dads) let em go at it. only way to know how to shoot is to practice..and practice...and practice watch some youtube videos and practice again.
NG LONG time!! I added $ to my amazon account and said there was this deal that only lasted 24hrs!!! My dad had 1 when he was a kid he had a daisey red ryder. Soo he finallty said yes. Its coming in 4 DAYS!!!!
i wish if my dad could say what you said "I think it is important to get our sons out of the house and teach them the basics and one of those is shooting and how to do it safely. The generational differences are clear."
Im 19 years old and I remember my first Red Ryder, christmas morning when I was about 8 or 9, great gun and always shot true! Whenever im blessed with a son I plan on doin the same thing.
@southpaw7890 I have always been impressed with the Red Ryder. I bought him a Crosman 1077AS not too long ago and I had a hard time getting happy with the sights on it. I was able to shoot dimes at 30 feet out of the box with Alex's Red Ryder :)
Good to see you teaching him the correct way to hold it. While you could rest the stock of a bb gun or 22lr on your shoulder and shoot fine it is a very bad habbit as you will get hit in the face if you do that with a more powerful gun

I got a pumpmaster and its great. Once i made the mistake of putting the target on an oak plank instead of pine. I got a ricochette in the ear -_-
mmmPlE 2 months ago
@mmmPlE Yes, we always use a foam core board behind our targets to absorb the BB's. In this video I just drew the targets on the foam core :) Thanks!

Good aim, but you shouldn't shoot it at a tree it could re-bound and it you. Other than that good aim, and a good video. Promo for Promo?

Zeppelin9030 8 months ago
@Zeppelin9030 The white material is foam core and absorbs the BB's. They do not bounce back. You should try it some time!
ArtisanTony 8 months ago
@ArtisanTony ya i used paper before... lol it looks like cardbord what is it
Zeppelin9030 8 months ago
@Zeppelin9030 We call it foam core. It is about 1/4" thick and mainly used for building architectural models. You can buy it at hobby stores.
