  • Fantastic ... big round of applause ... !

  • That violin riff by Mik Kaminski always sends a tingle down my spine, period! =-D

  • that singer did SUCH a great job with the vocals~ very Jeff Lynn like.

  • @jmsmikey That's Kelly Groucutt, he was bassist in the Original ELO and was part of ELO II as well.

  • @rorymacve Yikes~ I never would have guessed that~ not used to seeing Kelly without that big hair and moustache~ I guess Kelly passed away a few years later. Is there anything left of ELO now? Is Jeff Lynne doing anything? I'm boat shopping now & it's going to be named 'Evil Woman'~

  • @jmsmikey Yes, only two members of ELO have died and they are Kelly Groucutt and Mike Edwards. Jeff Lynne is currently releasing his second solo album and the other ELO members are enjoying a lengthy retirement.

  • @rorymacve Not quite true about the lengthy retirement :-)

Original founder of ELO Roy Wood is still busy touring with his Roy Wood Rock & Roll Band (on tour shortly with Status Quo on their UK arena tour)!

Former ELO & ELO Part 2 members Mik Kaminski (of blue violin fame) and Lou Clark are still touring worlwide with The Orchestra (former ELO & ELO Part 2 members) - this is the band descended from ELO Part 2 and have a full Eastern Europe tour in November / December with symphony orchestra.

  • @elojim01 Roy Wood's still doing tours? Wow, funny how you never hear about these things. =-S

  • @rorymacve Roy certainly is still touring - check out a couple of video clips from December last year on my Youtube channel. I will also be seeing him at Holmfirth on 21st December :-)

  • @elojim01 Good luck with that mate! Hope you enjoy! =-D

  • Brilliant band. Difficult to sound this authentic.

  • this is awesome!!!

  • When Kelly Groucutt passed away in 2009, former Styx guitarist/bassist Glen Burtnik stepped in.

  • My band opened for them in Cincinnati July 4th 2003. I remember they did a VERY long soundcheck, and a couple of my bandmates complained. I said, "we're a freakin' Cincinnati cover band, they've sold ten billion records, they can take as long as they want!" Kelly was VERY nice dude, and didn't "big league" us at all. I have to say I got chills being able to sit onstage while they whipped out the piano riff to "Evil Woman" and played "Strange Magic" and "Can't Get It Out Of My Head"

  • brilliant performance... our Kelly at his total best !!!... xxx

  • fantastic performance! great that there's still a band doing great service to these classic songs, Jeff or no Jeff

  • Pleased you like the clip. However at this time in the bands history, even though Bev Bevan had left 6 months earlier the band were still promoted as ELO Part 2, although they themselves at certain gigs less than a month later were calling themselves 'The Band With No Name'. The renaming to The Orchestra happened shortly after both this performance and the San Remo tv special a few weeks later.

  • However, the band is The Orchestra, not ELO Part II. They're absolutely phenomenal :)

  • This is a really great video. Thank you :D
