  • Your arms and obliques are your best features, so your side poses look great. The biggest holes in your physique seem to be your hamstrings, calves, and lats.

  • Chicago grows bodybuilders like you and Lance Dreher.  Cool. Suggest that you fine tune your mandatory poses so that you are optimally visible to the judges and audience. Watch placement of arms in double bis, legs in side legs, etc. changing foot stance may make hams look bigger.

  • Darin, your calves should be a little wider. I noticed you have your left leg turned a little so your calves show. They should be pointed straight in front. Find some exercies that will give them with. Rick M

    That said, that's why it's called cheating; I just think if you cheated, you'd be the best of the cheaters :-D

    So my comment is really getting at this: You have taken clean bodybuilding to an amazing level. What's the point of looking good and getting big if you sacrifice your health and other important things to do with size... Good stuff Darin.

  • There are plenty who no more concerning particulars of muscle aesthetics than me. But I do think the legs are a tad small in comparison to the wings. Damn good job though.

    I wonder how much experience and wisdom would have helped when you were first starting out?

    Do natural bodybuilders incorporate any significant training for sprints and explosive running?

  • At this stage how much can you grow its all about defining your muscle you have and getting leaner and showing all your cuts. More Arnie posers and its all about deception and angles, good work

  • Okay Darin ! Lunges on Smith Machine for Hamstring , Glutes and Quad definition + size . Calves should be trained to get that better definition ! Tricep needs more attention and last but not at least lower back ! Good luck and hope you get into the first 3 competitors !

  • Quads are looking better, but not great. Hamstrings still are your biggest downfall by far and large.

  • work on - abs, hams, glutes, traps... everything else coming along nicely

  • Need more legs, more triceps, more shouders, more calves, more of those neck muscles.

    Chest is a bit too big imo, so I wouldn't focus on that.

    The 2 biggest area's to improve are on legs and back imo.

    @fatlosslifestyle Lookin sick for 7 weeks out! That bicep peak is killer, and tri's are thick during side poses. Pecs look a little more solid as well. Looks like a little more leg sweep would offset that slightly thick waist nicely, but theres no reason you shouldn't dominate, especially GAYne Norton. I've recently lost about 75 lbs and would like to compete one day, but now I'm stuck with some loose skin, any tips?

  • Not bad at 7 weeks out. You need to start attacking the bodyfat a bit more aggressively, and it seems your legs and lower back love to hold water. I agree with the outer quad recommendation. You are an inspiration and I wish you all the best.

  • Your looking ALOT BETTER! Much more leaner and defined. Lats are better. I don't know what the pose is called but at 0:27 seconds I find is your best pose.

  • Such a huge improvement in the definition since I saw you last, that was like a month ago. I'm no expert, but I would say that your right glute looks smaller than your left so maybe work on that.

    your shoulders and arms look great. legs look defined as well. you can do anything you want to do.

    Sometimes,you can really see the definition.The top half seem to care of it's self.Getting ripped!

  • HAMSTRINGS MAN and QUAD WIDHT (outer head of the quads); Maybe you should do front squats with a closer stance and leg press also with closer stance to hit that outer head of the quads. Good luck, man !

  • @fatlosslifestyle yeah, glutes are looking good too, but hamstrings need more size in the side poses, and in the front poses - the outer sweep of the thighs will really complimend your upper body. So my suggestion would be - do front squats, leg presses and hack squats with a really close stance to hit the outer quads. Btw, your bones look thick man, but you look like a meso to me - are you somewhere between endo/meso ?

  • On your front Lat spread, make sure ur pinky's are up, brings out the Brachialradialis ...And all of your back poses, make sure ur up on BOTH of your toes of both feet, even though your showing off the closes one to the judges ur front calf still needs to not be relaxed, u look awesome, and ur going to blow them away.

My guess is if you get them more ripped the judges will like them.

They look good, but your upper body is so devastatingly good, that it over shadows your legs, you need to Fill them out and cut them up as much as possible before the show.
