In the bible, it says that it took God 7 days to make everything, but can anyone specify what a day is and how much time it is to God? Not really. That means that a day to God could have been millions of years in our time, so evolution could be true and could be God making everything. After that, natural selection would change things just like humans change.

But, advanced lifeforms have been found in the top layers of strata, as well as the older layers. I personally don't believe in god but I know many Christians and respect their beliefs and try to learn as much as possible and not to be too narrow minded. Here is something that just sprang to my mind. What if ages ago humans created the bible as a fictional book. Then it developed, then rumours spread. The rumours became told to the bible's stories being true. As people back in those days wouldn't have known life after death, they might have gone with that story and believed it to give them comfort. There is the same amount of proof that that story is true as 'God' creating mankind.

I was in church one day because my parents expected me to go and my youth minister's words got through to me, so I got on my knees and asked God for forgiveness and said that I wanted him to take control of my life. This is the act of people in the church, not God. The Bible was not created by people looking for power, it was made by people that had nothing and gave their life to God to go around preaching his word.
