Ich kannte es bereits vorher aus dem Sat 1 - Spielfilm "Daniel, Philipp und das Wunder der Liebe".

Von der Oberstimme hätte ich liebend gerne die Noten. - Ist etwas ganz Besonderes! - Wo bekomme ich sie her? - Von einer Knabenmama? :-)

Gibt es denn noch mehr von dem Konzert...Weitere Solos...?? Markus und 'der kleine Tölzer' würden mich neben Daniel insbesondere interessieren..Ist doch immer spannend wie sich die Stimmen der Jungs so weiterentwickeln...Und schon einmal Frohe Weihnachten und ein besinnliches Fest...

Nowadays, whenever Prof. Schmidt-Gaden conducts, we must be sure to have a HD camera rolling! It could be historic. This arrangement of Stille Nacht is his. The cloaks are worn in extremely cold churches in winter, where it is often warmer outside the church than inside! Kartoffelnsuppe, anyone? Wonderful culture, wonderful singing.

Also that this solo of Daniel was composed by SG. I have a clip with that part of an old film with the Toelzers "Daniel, Philipp und das Wunder der Liebe" ! There another Bub "is" singing the solo.

@cabbalistic My friend wskfan has the film but only the last 40 minutes. He started the recording too late when many years ago Sat 1 did broadcast the film. He also told me that he probably will have problems to find the copy. He has a clip with the last minutes at his channel but private for friends only. Perhaps toknfan has a complete copy ?

@cabbalistic T.clever has only a small clip but I at least have the last 40 minutes of the film because I too late started the recording when many years ago the TV-station Sat 1 did broadcast the film. All the years I unsuccessfully waited for a re-run. The very beautiful last 8 minutes I uploaded at my channel but for members upon my friends´list only.... Do you already know the video with parts of the film at the channel of notyobs ?

Ganz richtig! - Keiner der Nachfolger hat den Chor so gut Im Griff, wie Herr Schmidt-Gaden. - Er hat eine einmalige Ausstrahlung, er weiß, worauf es ankommt. - Ein Chor ist so gut, wie sein Chorleiter. - Ich glaube, dass die Fähigkeit zur Leitung eines Chores, besonders eines Kinderchores, nicht erlernbar ist. - Sie muss in den Genen liegen!

@tritonusgesang i agree with you... But keep in mind: Schmidt-Gaden selects his boys very carefully and does not include the apprentices and choir 2. But I admit, I am not sure that Ralf Ludewig is the best choice as a successor...

Jost Salm (who left the choir) is doing a brilliant job in Dortmund...

And I was quite impressed with Christian Fliegner conducting the 'church concert' (on youtube)...

But maybe it is just an adjustment phase.

@Jairdan It always depends from the percentage composition of the chorus itself. Like here the "church concert" was composed only with boys of the chamber-chorus. I am not so happy, that every concert of the little boys have to be on Yt, ....

@aquaria85 Ist er auch nicht, das hier ist der Kammerchor und die Solisten. In Neuried waren es hauptsächlich Chor2ler, Tribis und ganz wenige Chor1ler als Stimmführer.
