Just fiddle around with the webcam settings until you get a clear picture. Decent lighting helps heaps.

Ive only got a 4000 but i know that if you go into driver/advanced settings and put the shutter speed to full untill it says 15/ and put the gain setting as low as it can go them put all your settings to freeze/manual and ajust brightness, contrast and saturation to what you want. hope this helps:)

Yes, it does cost money. I bought it because I find it easier to use than some free programs such as monkeyjam or SMA. (Just google them). It comes down to personal preference. I've seen terrific animations made with free software and I've seen crap films made with professional software. It comes down to the builder, not his tools.
