  • skidball?

  • i'm useless...

  • HELLO 9GAG <3

  • And also, she´s kinda hot!

  • Her Lucky flying T-shirt says 'look ma, no hands'. I laughed so hard. This girl is awesome.

  • Amazing woman! I feel ashamed of my complaints... She is truly an inspirational woman! If she can, I can... ...I have had a lifelong dream of learning to fly.

  • There are 8 people with arms that can't figure out how to do squat.

  • fuck!!!!! I feel useless after watching this video!

  • Truly amazing!!

  • You're ONLY disabled if you believe in "..I can't do that"!

  • Αυτό θα πει ΔΥΝΑΜΗ ΨΥΧΗΣ...συγκλονιστικό !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There is no "i can't" ;)

  • thanks to god she is happy and beautifull and talnted god bless you jessica

  • She's amazing, an inspiration and I'm proud that she's a Filipino-American!!!

  • she is not "disabled", she is "abled"

  • really inspiring - very pretty Jessica too !!

  • nice one

  • how cool?! i go on and like this.... (:

  • There are SEVEN folks who've actually "disliked" this video. Seriously?? WTF people??!!?? Who are you morons and what planet do you come from??

  • como de que quejarnos ????

  • I've thought I've pretty everything in this life....but finally not!!!

  • disabled? I think not....

  • Also do a search of the internet for Tommy (Toes 0r Twinkle Toes) Jacobsen.

This man also born without arms in the 1920's went on to appear in some travelling shows around the world shaving people, piano playing, firing a rifle, etc and when a youngster saved another child from downing in a fast flowing river with the second most highest rise and fall of tides.

Persons like these have the utmost admiration for coping with their handicap???

  • @HDaviator Yeah typical yank....

  • No Ma. No hands... lol :-) ... Incredible story

  • @stephenmj look ma no hands

  • I think my x is..mmmm .? She is funy. We cool. kisses for you.

  • Normally you need feet to operate the rudder pedals but that particular plane is an Ercoup which has no ruder pedals. The ailerons and rudder are mechanically mixed.

Notice that the reporter mounted a camera in the plane but did not go up with her himself! What a p*ssy!

  • I would have definitely gone up with her.

  • esta prohibido eso a ver si se la va a pegar

  • 勇敢追夢飛上天空的無臂女勇者

  • keep it up girl!

  • That is the real "Nothing is impossible" thing!

  • not safe, she should not be flying

  • @pugs909 LOL, whe whould be doing anything she is able to do. you shouldn't be flying!!!

  • @HDaviator There is logic to the concern.

I have flown many types of commercial aircraft as well as Design/Develop/service.

Under normal conditions I would not hesitate to fly with her.

Under extreme weather conditions with turbulence I have no reservations that she would have extreme difficulty controlling her physical position in the aircraft resulting in the control of the aircraft being compromised.

Outside of that, she is one very special and extremely talented human being. Very impressive.

  • Well Jessica, I can only say you are simply awesome, hats off to you!!

  • God is glorified in you!

  • 2:23 the dark zone!!!

  • elle demontre une tres grande qualite de vie et elle semble tres serene et joial

  • How can you NOT love her?!?!? She is awesome!

  • This is unbelievable! Jessica you have ll my respect!!

    I have 2 questions though

    - how do you steer the plane on the ground

    - and how so you operate the rudder?

  • @FTStratLP The Ercoupe has interconnected roll and yaw controls. Voilà!

  • GREAT

  • Man, im in training to be a pilot and I find it hard enough with all my limbs. Damn thats impressive, Congradulations to her. That is absolutley amazing. It was a privlege to be able to see this vid.

  • I think that it's awesome she conquered her fear of flying... there's no stopping her now... :-)

  • how is this possible? im pretty sure we have CAT1 medical requirements that require ALL LIMBS

  • Fantastic that just show you when put your mind to it you can do anything my god bless you you are a insperation to everyone

  • Cute woman...great pilot...may God always fly with you Jessica!

  • Increidble feet!

  • Wow, nice flying Jessica. Congrats!

  • how she do for the rudder ?

  • The plane is an ERCO Ercoupe. This plane has no rudder pedals by design. Rudder and ailerons are controlled with the yoke.

  • bravooooooooooooooooooooo

    congratulatiooonsssss

  • love this lady, what a lucky man her husband is, mabuhay ka kabayan!

  • It's my baby ...

    life was hard with you.

    even though there is perseverance.

    and willpower.

power is to want and when you want to get what you want and I know that s lit.

Jessica Cox love you for who you are and always will be yesterday today and forever.

    congratulations!

  • some kind of inspiration

  • Impossible is nothing!

  • Just Skill Impressive

  • My previous reaction was primarily pointed towards irvinmanohar who questioned the ability to fly in windy conditions.

  • She's flying an Aerocoupe. No rudder pedals in that plane. Still very impressive, don't get me wrong!

  • hum, learn to spell the true name of that plane!

  • I met her at the University of Arizona flying club in Tucson. Nice lady.

  • marry me jessica

  • she's cute and amazing :D

  • Watching Wowowee today and saw you with your mom. I think Willie doesn't know what pilot does huh? Enjoy your stay and stay away from politicians.

  • wow.. that's really amazing!

  • philippine pride!!

we love you here in the philippines!

  • I just saw her on newpaper "Le Defi plus"(MAURITIUS). So i wanted to see her at all cost!!

Oh my god! she's is really good!

Flying a plane is an impossible task without arms but she made it possible. I guess she don't use the rudder which makes her impossible to fly in windy weather but still she can fly a plane! Woooww!!

she is more a human. she should be in the guiness books of records.

    Black belt, pilot, Driver.. OMG.

    Cheers jessica!

    Im ur fan!

    Regards,

    Irvin

    F/O Airbus A319

  • wooooooow

    great!!

  • she was amazing...

graces everday was verygood she didn't see her illnes but she do what she wants to be in good conditions....

    Godbless...

  • bravo Jessica!

  • That's not nice.

  • Wow, She's a much better human being than I'll ever be.

    Jessica, your my hero.

  • @Shryke2010 We;re all great in our own right... be inspired by her not inferior!! She is proof that we can live a life filled with infinite possibilities!!

  • I think it's fantastic however I'm not sure what modifications if any were made to the aircraft she flies the reality is flying properly take two arms & two legs, two feet to control the rudder pedals & brakes, 1 hand to hold the control column & the other hand to control the throttle. Yes she can fly a plane & all power to her but her landing in a strong crosswind would be dangerous as it takes simultaneous control inputs of both hands & both feet to do it safely.

  • I had to look up the plane which she was flying as I couldn't believe it either. She flys an ERCO Ercoupe which uses a a two-control system linked the rudder and aileron systems.

This type of plane does NOT have rudder peddles (first that I heard for me!) and is considered a beginners plane that has automatic yaw correction.

    Jessica is one amazing girl

  • ~thats amazing....

  • WAY-TO-GO!!!!

    Impressive!!!!!

  • hey i know you you were at my school harlson elematray

  • Great skills!

One question: where does the Ercoupe have the brakes?

  • How'd she get an Ercoupe!

  • jessica eres magica que valor tienes exelente deberias escribir un libro con tus hazanas y logros en la vida fantastico

  • ¡Alucinante! Jessica es tod un ejemplo de vida. Nuestra admiración desde España.

  • right on jessica,, as a pilot it is sometimes a challenge to control the aircraft with four limbs... you do it with two-you are something else young lady!!!

  • she's my hero, I wanna meet her, I live in AZ, where in AZ she lives?

  • i want to be her co-pilot

  • gawd she's good :-bd

  • simply.........wow....and I complain myself for no having money for flying..

  • OMG. Amputees can do more than what we can do (besides the part they lost)

  • her pilot instructor is one lucky dude

  • Newscasters' patronizing tone is so annoying.

  • this is the place where the impossible and the possible meets to be called (( THE POSSINBABLE ))

  • "impossible is nothing" This.

  • What's wrong with you? She's a human being just like you and me!

  • what are you talking about? Gross? What does that mean, sir?

  • She can do a lot more with her legs than you can with your half inch weenie

  • Wow!!! Never say never comes to mind.

  • The BEST ever i hv seen, impossible is nothing if you try.

  • The way she uses her legs

    Thats...thats mildly sexy

  • Incredible, awsome girl.

  • The little plane she flys is an Ercoupe, built in the 40s to have coordinated flight controls so there are no pedals down on the floor. Its perfect for her, a very safe airplane. She is very determined, and very blessed.

  • guess shes just gifted.

  • Now don't you ever tell anybody what he/she can or cannot do.

  • kahanga hanga!!!!

  • Proud to be Filipino!! Mabuhay ka Jessica!

  • That's incredible.... Just when I think that most of us are fat, stupid, lazy whiners, someone like Jessica comes along and restores my faith in us.

  • Jessica you are AWESOME!!!

On the other hand the reporter was a coward for not going up with you.

You should have slapped him with your foot and karate kicked him in the groin.

  • Stupid doctors!! She was born without arms so she could show us what DETERMINATION means!!

  • i dont want sound fucked up but i dont know if i would get on a plane if she was flying because its harder to control using feet than hands i would think

  • well, shes been using her feet for her whole life so it would be a lot easier for her than people with hands

  • that's messed up,

  • Holy fuck, that's beyond awesome.

  • I could watch her do things with her beautiful feet all day

  • LOL

  • pervert

    lol

  • Grettings!!! is an example for all human kind!

  • Jessica's story is so inspiring, she has given me HOPE that all things are possible...she must have such a great, loving and very supportive parents. GOD bless you girl!

  • she was at my cuzins tae kwon do black belt ceremony today. she's so awesome. the things she said wer so inspiring

  • high heels on the wing @1.05 not clever

  • she's a filipina... that makes the whole Philippines proud!!! Filipino Pride.. Mabuhay ka Jessica....

  • How does she adjust and hold rudder position especially while landing?

  • This plane doesn't have rudder petals

    Ercoupe 415-G

Fred Weicks Ercoupe was a modestly revolutionary airplane for its time. It was probably the first general aviation airplane designed with a nosewheel and the first to be certified as non-stallable and non-spinnable. There were no rudder pedals—the twin rudders were automatically activated by deflection of the ailerons. Flying qualities couldnt be much simpler, exactly what Fred Weick intended. Ercoupe is as automotive as it was possible.

  • like ssssaaafff said, the ercoupe 415 has no rudder pedals. To add to that, her sport pilot certificate does limit her to fly this make and model only.

  • Shes kinda hot.

  • That is pretty freaking cool.

  • uhm...people are not allowed to fly when they are colour blind and now this woman may fly???

    bit ridiculous...

  • Well colorblind people can fly privately like this woman.

I doubt she'd be able to fly a commercial plane.

  • That is so neat. Instead of being foever coddled and watied on, she has learned to take care of herself ,and soar to new heights. Good lcuck!

  • Seriously, is this you that flew the plane

  • is there a mirror in front of you that you are talking with? normaly we see on others what we have in ourselves...

  • sweet!

    cute too.

  • Way to go! I like that you faced your fear of flying as much as anything. I notice the reporter didn't get in the plane with you, just mounted a camera...hahaha. I would have, looks like it would be a fun flight.

As others have mentioned, very cute too. Keep accomplishing!

  • Way to go Jessica! Congrats from another flight instructor. I bet you did this with more grace than most people WITH arms. You and the Ercoupe are a match made in heaven.

  • I saw this on inside edition. Have you tried flying any other planes?

  • I quit flying because of an inner ear problem, later quit surfing, and scuba diving, after seeing this doesn't seem much of a problem than an excuse. Hope you get an Ercoupe of your own some day.

  • You are awesome!

  • To answer angioplaster3's question, no I do not own the Ercoupe but I hope to one day! In my opinion, the Ercoupe is a masterpiece. If it hadn't been for ERCO creating it more than 60 years ago, I would have never had the opportunity to fly an unmodified airplane. To answer alashee's question, I don't have to work rudder pedals because the Ercoupe does not have any. The rudders and ailerons are interconnected. Thanks for the great questions!

  • You are just one amazing lady. One question though... with the rudders and ailerons interconnected, how do you manage cross wind landings?

  • I find this video and you truly amazing!

However, I do have one question. How do you work the yoke, throttle and rudder petals all at the same time?

  • she's hot

  • Amazing!

  • ....God bless you Jessica......

  • Your amazing!

  • Right on, Go Jessica!

  • Jessica,

I had a fear of flying and overcame that by learning to fly and obtaining my private pilots liscence a couple of years ago. You are so awesome! Do you own the Eurcope(sp) in the video?

  • Thanks for posting this one Jess. Love all your videos, you rock. Your message is so simple yet always inspiring. Most of us really don't have any genuine excuses... if we would just get out of our own way and get on with things :-)
