ya dont care bout the panted nails. Thats a good kit assambly over veiw. It doesent take a lot to cover the basics of bushcraft. only thing i would add is a metel cantaner to cook/boil water in. Witch you can scratch up by nabbing a soup can, an your gold.

Great video, my little 5 year old son likes it a lot. One thing I have issue with is the water bottle, and we all know how important water is when your in the bush. I know you can boil water in a plastic bottle, but you can get thermos bottles or those aluminum bottles at the dollar store. Please do a video on water purification if you have time. Thanks again.

But the biggest complaint I have is that he havent got all nails painted, just a few ones. He should know that if you do something, you should do it properly

Painted nails don't make one any less of a man, Its a way to express himself with I respect. You covered all of the basic's any starting bushcrafter should have, The only additions I could see added is a saber saw blade rigged on some sort of handle for a saw, and a plain can for boiling water and stuff. a magnesium fire starter can be located at almost every sporting store for 6 bucks and should be added incase the lighter or matches get wet. A basic kit if you look carefully may cost 20 bucks.

Petroleum jelly gets messy. When I was starting out I made what I called a "tiny tinderbox". 2 plastic film canisters, free for the asking at any photo lab, they just chuck em anyway. Stick these bottom to bottom and wrap with duct tape. One side holds waterproof matches, cut a bit of the strike pad for the inside of the lid (match heads point down AWAY from the lid), other side holds cotton balls soaked in rubbing alcohol. The film cans are airtight, you wont lose the alcohol.
