Another thing, a real organist would have more than one stop drawn for a piece like this, and would not switch manuals like that, or act like a fool in trying to mock organists like myself who actually have to put in a lot of time to play a piece like this one. But yes, it is a good recording of the piece, no doubt about that.

You know, there's a fine organist out there that probably spent many many hours practicing to make the recording that you are using in this without permission. Not only is it disrespectful to the performer, but you could have some serious legal issues.
If nothing else, it has exposed the sound of a good organ performance to a lot of people through the 70,000 views it's had. It's rare for an organ performance to get such wide exposure.

I believe this is my own recording of the Bach Fugue in D major, BWV 532. This is considered copyright infringement. I highly suggest you remove this smut from YouTube. 1. It's illegal to burn commercial CD's onto YouTube and 2. you are making a mockery of my profession. It took me 2 years to learn this fugue and in almost 2 minutes, you reduce all my professional and musical efforts to the YouTube equivalent of bad internet porn. I ask you, please remove this post.

The video does not make the music more accessible in any way either; showing this to a Philistine would not boost the status of this type of music in society.

You know, there's a fine organist out there that probably spent many many hours practicing to make the recording that you are using in this without permission. Not only is it disrespectful to the performer, but you could have some serious legal issues.

If nothing else, it has exposed the sound of a good organ performance to a lot of people through the 70,000 views it's had. It's rare for an organ performance to get such wide exposure.

I believe this is my own recording of the Bach Fugue in D major, BWV 532. This is considered copyright infringement. I highly suggest you remove this smut from YouTube. 1. It's illegal to burn commercial CD's onto YouTube and 2. you are making a mockery of my profession. It took me 2 years to learn this fugue and in almost 2 minutes, you reduce all my professional and musical efforts to the YouTube equivalent of bad internet porn. I ask you, please remove this post.

@jimbo103a You are rather mistaken. This video in no way celebrates the music. The piece is not named, nor the performer or composer credited. It makes our profession seem trivial. It is the equivalent of using the Mona Lisa as a canvas for finger-painting: sure, it's fun and all, but it degrades the art-piece's true, original integrity. The video does not make the music more accessible in any way either; showing this to a Philistine would not boost the status of this type of music in society.

@jimbo103a With regard to your second comment, I cannot comment on the difficulty of the piece since I have never heard it until now, but please don't be hypocritical and reduce our profession by your "dumb comments" either. If you want to make our music more accessible, upload your own video and promote it yourself as Gillian Weir did with "The King of Instruments"; *that's* the only way to get others to enjoy it. This video evokes laughs, not interest.

@jimbo103a This was the first piece I ever learned back when I was 12 years old. I am not an organ prodigy but for a first organ piece, I deserve some credit. For the record I am a graduate from Westminster Choir College and Peabody Conservatory respectively. I have no problem with posting fun videos but as my previous comment shows, this is just a mockery. Period.

Honestly, what I find more offensive is when someone posts a video and they're not performance ready yet they post. Be insulted at that. It's offensive that someone would post something and expect us as viewers to appreciate it when it's OBVIOUS that they aren't ready to perform. Now that's offensive!
