Sony is the best. How the hell do you compare an iPod when the camera is only 0.9 megapixels my old 2005 Samsung has a better camera. Sony has way better sound quality trust me I have 3 Walkmans. Besides android is better than iOS on the iPod touch. iOS is tooooooo simple.

That's one of the many things Sony is famous for, over pricing their products. You get more features/better specs in the Samsung Galaxy player and a lower price than the walkmen Z.

The Galaxy player came out around the second quarter of 2011 in Asia and Europe. Then in North America 3 months ago. They haven't updated the hardware or software yet. This is a new product, sort of.

This looks like an amazing device. With Android and its sreen size and the amazing audio quality it will be much better than the Ipod or any other mp3/mp4.

Excellent that its for the most part focused on audio quality. The X is just an amazing player, the GUI for the music section of the X series was marvelous, I'd love to see that hyper fast scrolling, music searching, etc. which we dont get to see if this has it. Id hate to see the Walkman be too dependent on the Android GUI for that.

One other thing that looks to be missing in the Z is build quality and materials. The X again, is just a thing of beauty, granite sides, slightly heavy, glass, sparkle.

In th Z its got a too plastic-y look and feel, nothing about its product design, its body that makes it stand out and scream high end audio quality, its got to FEEL more than a smartphone or their cheaper Walkmans.

Cant wait though to check this out at Sony Stores.

Why does it need a camera? If you want a camera you get a good cellphone. The camera on a iPod touch sucks. The 720p HD is also suspect. You don't meed cellular data because its not a phone and isn't intended to be one. Why would you get something like that on a contract. Instead of a tablet? I say if they include a good set of buds its worth the money ans I'll buy it over a iPod touch because a camera is not a deal breaker. I have a Nexus Prime my camera is amazing
