@jcfbell3001 cool is probably the best adjective when describing Bryan Ferry, he's got that James Bond look and attitude, and sings very well, a haunting and one of a kind voice as is the case in many a British singer. Like Sting, Peter Gabriel, Ian Anderson, Jack Bruce and Steve Winwood, when you hear the voice, you know who it is right away
MirandaRed, I was also 17 when I saw this tour, in Atlanta at Chastain Park, and I think the only person there younger than me was my date! This is a fantastic performance, and honestly the rest of this concert video just pales in comparison to this, the second song on it!
thank you for posting this. are you able to post both Limbo and The Chosen One as one video to keep them seamless in the way that they performed them?
I was lucky enough to see this tour in 1988 and at 17 was one of the youngest worshipers there. Bryan Ferry is an outstanding musician and beyond sexy. Just looked on Amazon the DVD is out of this tour.
I dont really like Brian Ferry but this song from the first time I heard it kicks ass and I believe it is because Andy Newmark kicks it's ass with that punchy bass drum!. Also the bass player (not shure who he is) kicks ass with this tune.
thank knoffler and gilmour for the guitar leads. i don't think either one of them is on tour with him here. but, nevertheless, they did some AMAZING studio work on boys and girls - AWESOME
Woo! I'd almost forgotten this one from '89.This is my favorite song by Bryan- so unique and original, the kind of song you would think would be impossible to do live, but they do very well here. Naturally the band overpowers the chorus a bit, but that's to be expected.
Saw this tour in Boston and it remains one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I have no idea why they haven't released this on DVD. I had the VHS but hell, who has a VHS player anymore? They really need to get "New Town" out on DVD!
Who is the guitar player? This is so close to a studio perfection that it is...frantic. Juggernaut beat...fantastic. I agree that it tops the album version, this is absolutely fab.
I saw Bryan perform this in Berkeley and Robin Trower sat in during the encores and played the lead guitar....magical moment that lives on in many peoples minds....Take our spirits.....Roxy Music Forever!!
the back singers are excellent especially yannick etienne

Are you sure this was filmed in the 80s.

something is odd with this video. sometimes the back up singers have their coats on and the next sec they are off! What gives?

@stinger139 It´s filmed over 2 nights in Paris
