The Mega Man 2 soundtrack is a triumph despite its terrible sample quality. I don't know why there are not tons of remixes of this game with decent samples.

It stands up there with the entire NES series.

@WrestlingRevealedLes I'm sure they were expecting nothing less than a competently recorded soundtrack like in Gremlins 2 for the Game Boy or the first Game Boy version of Mega Man.

I'll admit, though, Air Man's music in the Game Boy version of MM2 is better than in the NES version.
