  • this it's amerika and zionist want in muslim country.. with inflammatory and engulfed the people before the attack .. that is what happened in iraq

  • I dont know why but your voice sounds so annoying. more like a bunch of bees buzzing by.

  • Pepe, You were very certain in the last video

that there were fraud but you are not sure this

    time.

I believe Ahmadinejad was favourite to win before the TV duels. But the tv duels changed the out come. The government didn'tbelieve that

Karoubi or Mosavi are appropriate for the challenges Iran is facing(Like negociations with US on nuclear issue). So they rigged.

  • This are only rich iranian and corrupt politician like Rafsanjani , here in Malaysia too there r protesting but the way they look more like American than Iranian, if the iranian here in Malaysia love iranian so much then why the were not back in Iran during the Eletion, the way they look more American than Iranian

  • because most of the iranians outside iran cant ever go back since they would just get arrested after few hours in iran since the reason most of them are outside for political reasons! do some researching?

  • those who think this is israel's work or CIA all i have to tell you guys is: navar keh paa nadareh....

you r bunch of ignorants , so as you say i shall believe the favorite prime minster of Ayatollah khomeini which in here is Mousavi is an israel agent ? you guys are totally naive (i dont want to use the word "DUMB".

  • agree with you...khomeini came on with Americas help...these guys know how America makes things happen so they know how to stop it too...America wouldnt try that if they could...people always want to blame the west for all the bullshit...

  • Aghayoony keh inja meegan kar e israel o usa ast ...tanha cheezy keh meegam ineh: baazam begoo navareh navar keh paa nadareh ...........

  • 60% of the population in Iran is under 30 , they want to have their i pods, their uncensored internet, their parties. This guy keep on sucking his teeth

  • Ahmadinejad is the new george bush

  • with the difference that people did something about that ahmadinejad cheated (atleast they tried and we have to give them creds for that) while Americans just said "oh well, shit happens eh?"

  • It would seem that the public are aware of a deeply dangerous alliance being formed between radical Islam and military power

  • I love when this bastard says Ahmadinejad.

  • I think this movement is influence by outsiders like the US etc.. I totally knew the CIA would try to arrange a protest etc.. I mean they try the exact same thing when they overthrew Mossadegh back then. So it was easy to predict.

And the % of young men is way too hight too. That's not normal.

  • Jerusalem Post, a major right-wing Israeli news organization, promoted three Twitterers who went on the be the source of the IranElection Twitter bombardment. Why is JPost so concerned about Iranian students all of a sudden (which these spammers claim to be)? I must admit that I had my suspicions. After all, Que Bono?

  • Could you explain better what you're trying to say?

I'm not sure i understand but I'd like to.

    Thanks.

  • The "tweets" were not coming from Iran, they were coming from Tel Aviv in English pretending to come from Iran. You know the false flags that the Israelis are so famous for?

  • Yes ofcourse, jewish tweeters with pictures and video links from inside Iran... wow they are good at this...

  • I know what you mean, but what were those tweets saying?

    If you don't mind?

    Cheers.

  • Just a handful of people have accounted for 30,000 tweets!

    1. They each created their twitter accounts on Saturday June 13th.

    2. Each had extremely high number of Tweets since creating their profiles.

    3. IranElection was each of their most popular keyword

    4. Were posting in ENGLISH.

    5. Half of them had the exact same profile photo

    6. Each had thousands of followers, with only a few friends. Most of their friends were EACH OTHER.

The motto of Israel: By way of deceptions we do wage war.

  • Well said connie!!!! Cheers

All those 'velvet revolutionaries' are nothing less than pawns in the proxy plot of espionage and treason against the state of iran at the behest of a foreign agency (CIA and Mossad)...

The CIA has been talking for years about their covert operations from within Iranian society (this is no secret)...

its just sick that so many selfish 'educated' youth have been duped into aiding the enemy of their state....

  • @IMANSMUMMA it's funny, but here in the UNITED STATES, most people believe that we have been taken over by socialist and that our own people have been brain washed by socialist from Communist countries!

All I know, is that this is going on in many, many countries right now... I think there is a larger, higher power controlling and manipulating people's minds...

    Pray for all...

  • Thanks dude.

And yes, all those English tweets seemed odd.

And the whole thing seem to be too well organized. There's an obvious smell of propaganda in the air.

And yes, Israel always lie. Which makes them predictable.

But i wonder if the election was rigged. It's possible.

  • Con't. These young people are not asking for the West's version of freedom. They would like some basic civil liberties. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press alone would be major changes. They filter the internet heavily. So many things that seems so basic to the west, even a small few changes would be huge wins for the people of Iran.

  • It no longer matters if the election was screwed with or not. This is just the straw that broke the camel's back. As shown in the first few seconds of this video; the younger people simply want some freedom. This is a step towards this. As a religious regime that took power in 1979, they have turned away from the most basic of Muslim principles and the teachings of Mohammad (pbuh). Islam is intended to be egalitarian, and not have a ruling elite, or to be fascist as Iran is currently.

  • (cont'd) So it may not be so "fishy" as sad. The hard-liners in Iran know the US need them because of Afghanistan and Iraq, and so they flout US gestures towards diplomacy. Meanwhile, Israelis rally increasingly behind the hard-liners who want to strike Iran. Not least of all, the population of Iran continues to live in a repressive Theocracy. Hopefully the youth, middle class and educated voters and protesters indicate a brighter future. But the clock is ticking and the nuclear question looms.

  • Pepe, you seem conflicted on whether or not the outcome was a fraud. On the one hand you point out correctly that Ahmid. played the populist card effectively (using pork, wooing working class, "turning election into referendum on the Revolution--a crowd-pleaser") On the other, you cite Rajsanjhani, et. al., warning against rigging. So is it fraud or just real-politik in a nation that currently lacks a large enough reform movement to loosen the Supreme Leader's grip? I say the latter.

  • Look carefully, all the viewer postings of the so called Real News Network fans are bat shit crazy Marxist, Stalinist, Leninist, collectivist malcontents. And if they aren't some variety of one of those, then they aren't far off.

That is why I unsubscribed to this channel, you can't even have a decent conversation without getting some foaming at the mouth spew about how evil America is, corporations are, capitalism is and pretty much anything that made the US the greatest country on Earth.

  • Its not about how evil America is but how corrupt our government has become, from Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan to current Administration, including Clinton.

We have a ONE PARTY SYSTEM with two fractions: Democrats & Republicans. But they are still "The Left" and "The Right" hands of the same Oligarch/Corporation ruling BODY.

    Hello Fascism! Goodbye Democracy!

If you "unsubcribe" why are you coming back? Get tired of the Far Right Neo-Con nut job bullshit? Need to hear a little TRUTH now & then?

  • I'm a life long registered independent that wants nothing to do with either of the two major parties. So you fail in your assessment.

And I like stopping in here every now and then to rattle cages and give a heads up on what a deceitful channel this really is. TRN is a far left socialist propaganda outfit out of Canada. Most of their interviews are of far left ideologues, you can see this in their video history.

Don't take my word for it, look at their history and then research those names...

  • How on earth you can compare an economist like Marx with totalitarians like Lenin or Stalin is beyond me.

Marx along with Hegel, Engel, ... had a big impact on capitalism, he didnt call his book 'Das Kapital' just because it sounded good!

  • fascist

  • Smells fishy? I dont know. Why would this smell fishy but say the defeat of Hezbollah, who where favored to win, would not?

I only know two things. In Tel Aviv a huge sigh of relief was heard when Ahmadinejad won. They have allot invested in the man.

Secondly, darling of the west Mousavi ran a pretty slick PR campaign. Sadly for him it was more effective outside Iran whilst its the people of Iran who cast the votes.

  • bush cheated twice on teh election... have you done anything?? NO... so who cares about iran... let them deal with their own politics

  • And they are. We should have done that in 2000.

  • Don't forget to cover Ahmadinejad supporters in some hours! pmpl

they will be celebrating the victory in hours...

  • Ahmadinejad (armoured dinner jacket)

  • Pepe, dude, do your own analysis for once. You can't just steal posts off Juan Cole's blog and pass them off as your own judgment forever. Have you considered that Cole may himself be wrong for once?

The problem with these fly-by-night analysts is that they don't know the political culture, and are more attuned to spectacle. In this case they all went to the affluent quarters of Tehran, and projected what they saw on the rest of the country. No surprise that they should now act surprised.

  • They went to the affluent quarters because that is where Mousavi supporters come from. This is to show that Ahmadinejad couldn't have won by a ratio of practically 2:1.

Of course, who Iran really needs is Mehdi Karroubi.

  • well said

  • the revolutionary guard also protects iran from poisonous zionist influence

  • The neocons wanted Ahmadinejad to win. Daniel Pipes wanted Ahmadinejad to win and he compared Ahmadinejad to Hitler.

The neocons are so screwed up.

  • the big joke here is amedinejadhs rival is just another radical , he was front and center in the islamic revolution , all the media coverage in the west seems to be about wishing for a revolution , aint gonna happen though , the army and militias are behind the radicals .

  • I could tell if this was an explanation of Iran's

election results or a defense of Armadinijad's and the ayatollahs theft of the election.

  • Theft of election, please produce yr proof ,amadinejad rules

  • If they could only be more like the U.S. where they would never stand for election fraud.

  • Lol

  • 2001 bush vs gore election fraud according to satistic, Iran like america, please,

  • its a shame, a more liberal iran, and a more moderate and less extreme view of their religion would be a wonderful thing, that would help to stabalise the area, but Akmeddinijad ( i cant be fucked to find out how to spell that properly) and the ioatolah ( or however the fuck its spelt ) would loose control so they were never going to let that happen, a pity

  • YR IGNORANT -1 YR IGNORANT-2 Spell the name right 3- RELIGION MAKE IRAN GREAT 4- AMADINEJAD RULES 5- HES FEARLESS the way he combat israel murderers and americain sums

  • Thats rite call me ignorant or intolerant i dont realy give a fuck!, you cant realy say shit about incorrect spelling you cant even spell simple words. you obviously couldnt realise i mispelled it deliberatly. if you have an opinion try to deliver it in a civilised way and not sound like some jihadist nutcase!

  • 1: Don't call people ignorant it doesn't help your argument.

2: You spell his name right it's spelled: Ahmadinejad. It literally took me 5 seconds to google him.

3: Religion has no place in the running of counties in my opinion.

4: Ahmadinejad rules by rigging elections and arresting dissenters.

5: He has not fought anything he is just another war mongerer that shouldn't be allowed to lead a school of fish.

  • Great commentary.

  • Ahmadinejad is openly against the Zionist there for Israel use this to their advantage but going to say that Israel admitting wanting Ahmadinejad to win is a lie, they will not openly say it even if Ahmadinejad serve their purpose, however they are ready to do anything to conquer the world.. what is Ironic is that you would think the Zionnist would of learn from the Hitler regime.. instead they are copying their nemesis tactics.. like one my Jewish friend use to say: "The Zionist are fools."

  • It's not impossible that the green movement is fuel by a anonymous source.. meaning the secret service or/and the secret societies.

Think of how usefull for the "Elite" the movement is, I do not like the position of "Real News" they should be more objective instead of defending one and one only point of view, this is not news, the mass media use such cowardly tactics.

  • I really want to know how they will blame this on the israelis.

Well, they blame everything on the zionists, such a wonderfull simple world they live in.

  • religion=cancer of earth!!

  • lol why?

  • Iranian "liberals" are destroying that country!

  • USA and western democracy is nothing else than a covered dictatorship ruled by the jewish masonic zionist mafia, electronic vote,Obama-Cheney-Bush-Queen Elizabeth blood conection, telephone spying on civil citizens??,and more and more!!!!!

  • We get options or wut

  • why not donate that energy and make children hospitals in each country of the middle east. Babies not Bombs :)

  • Great analysis Pepe. Thank you for you insight. Iran is an incredibly complex country and most Americans simply do not understand the situation. The American media is making everyone around here absolutely retarded.

  • yes, the american media makes everyone retarded

  • Comment removed

  • if you hate Israel then you should hate Ahmadinejad.

Since Israel wants Ahmadinejad to win. Your doing want Israel wants.

  • This is shocking.

  • Without a serial number paper voting system any "democratic" vote is suspect.

Look at the States they use electronic voting, no way to audit the vote.

No unique identifier no way to audit the vote.

  • err... i dont get it....voting has always been a nonsense and so is democracy...all voting has always been fixed and even when we think it isnt it has.....its normal, after all the power a leader has is too valuable to be left to chance...understand this and your eyes will be opened.....now what are you going to do about it????

  • So Ahmadinejad gives out pork to the rural and working class, funny Pepe, your hero Hugo Chavaz does the exact same thing yet you call him a democrat while Ahmadinajad is the tyrant. Can't say I disagree with you but if your not gonna criticize Chavaz in the same vien as Ahmadinajad then it's just a case of the pot calling the kettle black. And for the record Pepe you liked him 4 years ago, guess you have no use for him now.

  • Chavez has a more systematic approach and actually instituted some social programs while Ahmadinejad just handed out money like a king throwing coins into the crowd, that's a big difference.

  • AMADINEJAD RULES

  • ...BY FORCE!

  • religion=cancer of earth

  • No. Intolerance = cancer of the earth.

  • Religion = intolerance.

  • Not always. Anyway, isn't perceiving religion as equating with intolerance an act of intolerance itself? Aren't simple distinctions and categorisations a sure means to intolerance?

  • Sure.

  • I'm glad we agree! :)

  • And toleration of murder is a good thing?

    Start thinking for yourself.

  • Obviously I meant intolerance towards people.

If there was greater tolerance, then there would be less war and less murder.

Toleration of past murders and wars have brought about peace in parts of the world.

And I do think for myself, thank you very much.

  • OK, toleration of murderers is a good thing? The problem is that you don't see the connection between tolerating people and tolerating peoples' actions. If you tolerate a violent and oppressive religion you tolerate violent and oppressive behavior by their adherents.

I can't even begin to imagine what you could possibly mean by "toleration of past murders and wars have brought about peace in parts of the world".

  • In Northern Ireland, the framework for peace included the release of all prisoners involved in the conflict, as long as they participated in the peace process. Effectively, the slate was wiped clean. This wasn't just a pay-off, this is what the process was all about - wiping the slate clean.

Obviously I don't condone murder, but one has to be careful in how one tries to rectify these problems.

How would you go about being intolerant towards "violent and oppressive religion"?

  • That's not really toleration of murders but more so forgiveness for them. If they kept happening, they wouldn't be tolerated, I assure you. Since I don't agree with punishment of any kind, I'd say if they were sure that they wouldn't go on murdering people then releasing them was the right thing to do. Prisons exist only to keep people safe, IMO.

I wouldn't appease these oppressive religions by passing favorable laws or ever accepting the (ongoing) dysfunctional behavior of their adherents.

  • Oh, we're in agreement here. I don't believe in punishment for its own sake, and I don't believe in appeasing someone out of weakness. But I would hope that by showing tolerance that we can ask for it in return.

And you're right - the prisoners in NI were released only on the basis that their organisations had ceased their activities.

  • I love teh sexy Iranian women. Let them take off those ridiculous head scarves!

  • Alright!! Now we have more reason to bomb the nuclear sites!!

  • Persia deserves a secular democracy like they hade in the early 50's before USA crushed. LONG LIVE FREEDOM LONG LIVE SECULARISM AND LONG LIVE DEMOCRACY. I see you proud of arab impearialism... that lead to the destruction of many cultures.. it's great luck that Iran still has parts of it's Persian culture and not becoming fully arabinised like so many of the places where the arab attacked.

The Persian youth wants to controll there destiny.. and this regime will one day fall mark my words.

  • You're a fucking moron. Not wearing a head scarf is not "half naked".

And women should be able to walk around half naked if they want. Why do your women hate you?

  • we rather like them go totally naked :O

  • Its funny that Pepe dident see this coming, says something about hes knowledge about Iran . Hes last reports on Iran where full of holes. Today he makes progress when he takes the people in provinces into consideration, which he dident last time. What else he dont get is that the debate Ahmadinejad had vs Musavi was an all win for A.

I lived 9 years in Iran and even I can talk in a better manner then Musavi did at the debate. Hes language was really bad, talking like a child.

  • I really enjoy TRN, as they have really good analysis of the situations in the world. But Pepe this one you could have done better. Musavi, Khatami and Rafsanjani are supporting each other. Thats public information that Pepe omits to comment on. They said it them selves. How can anyone believe they stand for reforms when they themselves are from the old school technocrats? When they are loaded as hell from corruption? Pepe comment on how they got rich, and you would understand. :)

  • Pepe's sarcastic demeanor is pretty annoying also.

  • I guess he thought that Mousavi was poised to win and he jumped on the bandwagon so as not to look like a fool, another I think was the notion that only "neo-cons" wanted Mahmoud to win and Pepe as with other lefties did not to give any anaylisis that they would use.

  • what?

  • No surprise, here. The Nazi got themselves installed by democratic means.

Man is his own worst enemy.

  • The analysis sounds legit, now we'll just wait and see :P

  • Succinct analysis. Thanks.

  • good news - better than any other i heard

  • I think Pepe is correct when he also attributes the win to Iran's poor and working class communities. They are largely ignored by the Western press which only focus on upper class opinions. The same as in Venezuela and the rest of Latin America.

  • rafsenjani fuked up..he was the one who eliminated the prime ministry post in order to have more power...now it has comeback to bite him on the ass.
