There are times people are guilty by association but not always. Say at a restaurant a politician is there and another politician being charged with a felony happens to also be eating there without his knowkedge=not guilty. However if both politicians agreed to meet there =guilty of association. Obama is guilty of not just meeting people but of having planned interaction whith them finacially and politically. Trying to enlighten a hard core liberal is like trying to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig. In the case of a liberal, though, he/she can talk back and always has to have the last word. So with a liberal, you get called racist, stupid, ignorant, etc. I will credit Samus, he/she is polite & civil although still has to get in the last word.

No Samus. I looked up the Saudi Royal family on Google, just as you suggested, and tried to see what you're talking about. I saw Obama bow to their king but that's another story. The Saudis jack us around at their whim with oil production & pricing. They chop off hands, chop off heads of their citizens for "crimes". That's their culture. They've been a reliable US ally, for the most part, during the past 5 decades. Ayers crimes were against US citizens & our government.

but obama sits on a board with a guy who's group killed 3 police officers,bombed the pentagon,capitol bldg,marine recruiting offices,marine dances,etc and after obama knew this.. was still friendly with the guy and obamas own "pastor said"goddamn America" and obama sat in his church for 20 yrs.
So if sean is racist for having a guest on,..then obama is a American hateing terrorist using Gibbs logic

Brilliant formula for shutting up any asswipe Fox conservative. Whenever they do a particular shit tactic: guilt by association (as shown), quote mine ect, have an example using their own technique against them. Although Bill O'Reilly might try to punch you out and defintley shout, keep out out swinging distance from that guy and reply , oh Bill we can hear you fine, no need to shout, sweetie.

To the right wing morons that don't get it: Gibbs is using Hannity's ass-backward logic against him.
According to Hannity's mental gymnastics, either Hannity is an anti-semite and Obama freely associates with terrorists, or guilt by association is a garbage concept. Being a "journalist" (which he isn't, he's just a pundit) isn't an excuse. Apparently Hannity can't handle his own medicine.
I guess I shouldn't expect Fox viewers to follow simple logic though.

Ok here's simple logic for you. Sean Hannity has that man on a show for a few minutes, they are not friends, and do not conduct business with each other. Not a chance. the difference between Obama sitting with Bill ayers and Hannity having Andy martin on his show is that Hannity is a journalist and has to have controversial points of view on his show in order to properly convey different points of view. his job is to have views from all over the spectrum on his show, just like every other journalist does.

OK. Alot of people in here missed Gibb's point ENTIRELY. He just brought up all those things about Hannity having an anti-semite on his show, to demonstrate that guilt by association is a bunch of bullcrap, pulled on by the right wing pundits that said Obama should be held accountable by the people he associates with (Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright etc.).
And i think Hannity himself missed the whole point entirely. LOL
