I have lived in Egypt before and have had 1st hand experience to observe and live within conditions such as the Zabaleen. Despite the poor environmental effects and health hazards, manyyyyy people (families) rely solely on collecting garbage and recycling it in order to thrive in life.

Alsalamu Alaikum, I completed a research paper about the city of Mokattam and the Zabaleen about four months ago for a medical course Im taking at my University....omg my initial reaction when gathering the information was very emotional. As much as it killed my heart to see the conditions within the city was as much as I was able to feel empathy and understand.

It is sad how this is all coptic Christians. Only 10% of Egypt is Christians and Muslims are killing them. This is an amazing documentary and all the protests in Eygpt need to support this city, PLEASE!

Because comparing of what is really happening to Egypt these days, Christians and Muslims are not fighting and besides this documentary isn't what is really happening in Egypt in 2011 because the Egyptians (christians AND muslims) cleaned their streets without getting any orders from ANYONE, they did this because they LOVE this country, the same way I love it so stop saying things that doesn't even exist!!!
