I was not the biggest fan of Badderly. It was right before alot of awesome actors left. Fiona Hutchison, Jensen Buchanan.. OLTL went downhill fast after the fall of 1990 (This was summer) and did not rebound until late 1991 when Paul Rauch left after a mostly awesome run- and Michael Malone and Linda Gottlieb took over.

TOTALLY AGREED. 1990 was kind of a rough year with some godawful characters (Laura Jean, anyone?) and lame lame lame stories. Megan's death story and Billy Douglass and stuff like that turned it around in 1991 and those remain some of my favorite stories. I'd say 1991-1994 were just as good as the 80s.

Laura Jean! Was she the assistant to the doctor who gave max is new face?? God those were rough times!! So many useless characters. There was that curly headed red haired girl who dated Dan Wolek.. But I will never forget Fiona Hutchison's performance after Max died on their wedding night. She was AMAZING. Sadly, she left soon after. OLTL dropped in the ratings in 1990 /never made it back into the top 3, until the gang rape storyline during the summer of 93. Not a fan of Nicholas Walker as Max..

Laura Jean *was* the curly red headed girl that dated Dan..LOL....to date one of the most useless characters in the history of OLTL. I like to pretend there was never another Max, just like I pretend that there was never another Blair.

OH OKAY! God she was useless. And there was that AWFUL storyline that was supposed to introduce "rap music" to Llanview. It was great that the show was going back to its diversity, but the storyline was terrible. I think all of those actors,and Laura Jean were all written out around the time Paul was fired. And I am sorry, losing Gabrielle, Tina, AND Sarah made for a bad year. Thank god for Megan and Viki.

OMG I remember that rap shit. Kerri and Troy? Was that their names? I think one of them was related to Sheila. At least Shiela wasnt useless. I was SO MAD when they killed off Sarah and then even madder when she was recast with the most boring actress EVER.

You have an excellent memory!! Sheila was the only good character in that mess- I was surprised when Malone didnt do much with her. I actually LIKED Grace Phillips!! Alex Olanov was the ONLY thing that really kept that show moving from 90-91, when she went crazy. That episode in fall of 91 when she brought Sarah back (in the form of Grace Philips) to Cassie and Bo's wedding was one of the most surprising episodes ever. And Alex terrorizing Cassie was SWEET!! LOL! And I missed Brenda Grande too.

YES ! I loved Cassie but always relished watching Alex torture her. I remember Alex pushing Sarah out at Bo at the wedding and being STUNNED. Those were the pre-internet days where you truly had to "stay tuned" to see what would happen next, and much like the Spring Fling, I didnt know what was going to happen and was TRULY SHOCKED.

oh she stayed on for another year BUT she would be gone before DePaiva could replace the predecessor. It wouldn't be til 2001 til them two would work together again. But I wasn't pleased...they killed her off. I believe Laura WAS the red curly haired girl that dated Dan Wolek. He didn't have much luck in the love department.

actually Megan's death and Billy Douglas were in 1992...but yes 90-94 were great years...as good as the 80's. 98-02 were prettty good also. It really hasn't been the same since.
