google it and you will find an abundance of sourches. swastika comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" meaning "good," "asti" meaning "to be," and "ka" as a suffix.

its very simple and its meaning is encoded in its name. . In any case, the root of the word swastika is , "swastha" . Swastha has various meanings all related to good health, peace and blessing etc. Its even used in may hindu mantras. eg. 'swastina indro vrudha shravaha , swastina pusha vishwadevaha , etc.

We do do sunworship but that is a different unrelated matter.

pl do not related solar cross etc with swastik. They are two different symbols , swastic is (C) vedic-hindu symbol.
