  • I get what you mean, the first movement was to show clearly that the figure 4 was there, great tip, thanks

  • You have one step too many in there in for starting, that 1st wrap is not needed.

  • @flymasterA Hmm, Four could do, perceived wisdom recommends 6, I went for five, Like your vids by the way.

  • @naisreka I'm not talking about the wraps around the hook, but the starting sequence. That whole first movement is not ncessary if you lay the whip finisher on top of the thread, let it reverse (making the triangle), and just start wrapping.

  • The best demo I've seen, Thanks.

  • Glad it helps, I remember that feeling, it really is a daunting tool but easy once you grasp it.

  • Having just taken interest in tying my own flies, I have to say this tool scared the scales off of me until I watched this clear vid on what it is that needs to be done. Went down and tried that knot right after viewing and HOLA...its easy!

    cool, big confidence booster.

  • thank you for being the only person smart enough to use a bright coloured floss against a black background for this tutorial :D

  • Thanks for the comment, I'm glad it helps.

  • Nice video. It's a little harder to grasp with the camera pointing toward you.

  • Good Point, I'll try and do one from the opposite side.

  • great video! that helps out a ton....
