Ya, watched this video and still I'm Pro-Choice and here's why. No one ever talks about Rape, or to save the life of the mother when talking about abortion. Here is my idea of the rape issue. Rape victims go and report the rape to the proper authorities . The very day the incident occurs precautions can be take to prevent a pregnancy from taking place. Prevention is the key both for rape and unwanted pregnancy situations.
Yes that would be ideal, but it doesn't always work like that. Sometime it takes a little while to build up the courage after such horrific events happen to even talk about it. Plus throw in the hard core religious nuts we hear about every once in a while refusing to prescribe the drugs necessary to do that, due to a religious conflict. The problem is that if abortion was made illegal, people will still do it anyway under the most dangerous of situations now risking the life of the mother.
I believe MOST women who have been violated in this way would go immediately to report it however traumatic it would be for them. One, we would want the attacker caught and then we would ensure pregnancy didn't occur.

Some women can immediately go to the hospital and notify authorities, and some can't. Plus with certain circumstances if say a younger woman is raped by someone she knows, it's harder for her to talk about it. So until rape is gone, or all women can go right to the hospital after an attack, abortion should remain readily available.

I have to agree with something that Obama said and that is we should begin to look at actions that we as individuals can take to help prevent us from having to even face the decision of abortion. I do believe that if a child is conceived the parents should take responsibility for that child, but if a couple is not prepared or planning on having a baby, then they need to be responsible enough with in their relationship to keep themselves from facing the decision of abortion.

We must resolve the environmental and sociological issues which lead to unwanted pregnancy. Every birth should be wanted, and every child should have parents to provide and care for them. The supreme court has long resolved this issue and the decision should be repected by any law-abiding citizen. I hardly think majority of the Americans want Roe Wade overturned. Stating that abortion should be kept legal even for late term abortion (murder!) due to cases of rape is just one of many trumped up excuses. Yes that would be ideal, but it doesn't always work like that. Sometime it takes a little while to build up the courage after such horrific events happen to even talk about it. Plus throw in the hard core religious nuts we hear about every once in a while refusing to prescribe the drugs necessary to do that, due to a religious conflict. The problem is that if abortion was made illegal, people will still do it anyway under the most dangerous of situations now risking the life of the mother.

I believe MOST women who have been violated in this way would go immediately to report it however traumatic it would be for them. One, we would want the attacker caught and then we would ensure pregnancy didn't occur.

Some women can immediately go to the hospital and notify authorities, and some can't. Plus with certain circumstances if say a younger woman is raped by someone she knows, it's harder for her to talk about it. So until rape is gone, or all women can go right to the hospital after an attack, abortion should remain readily available.

I have to agree with something that Obama said and that is we should begin to look at actions that we as individuals can take to help prevent us from having to even face the decision of abortion. I do believe that if a child is conceived the parents should take responsibility for that child, but if a couple is not prepared or planning on having a baby, then they need to be responsible enough with in their relationship to keep themselves from facing the decision of abortion.

"Above my pay grade" translates to "above my authority." Now, Obama is applying for the world's most powerful job position, so only God is more powerful than he. But God makes it clear that murder is wrong (Exo 20:13, Deu 5:17, Mat 5:21, Rom 13:9) and that conception begins individual life (Jer 1:5). This is a clear-cut contradiction on Obama's part. In the novel, Beloved, a mother who refused to turn her children over to a life of slavery took the life of her three children because she felt is was best. I am not that women who seek abortions, do it with this greater cause in mind; but it shows the responsibility and authority mothers have over their children. Whether Sethe in Beloved was right or wrong she made her decision with her child's interest in mind. Women do not take casually a decision of this magnitude.

McCain is a military man of course his style of speech is straight-forward. Obama is a lawyer, he picks a part the questions piece by piece because that's what lawyers do. I happen to prefer the depth Obama gives in his answers.

ok, first, obamas background is in 'political science' not 'constitutional law'. BIG DIFFERENCE. and depth? how bout lies? that shoes fits his foot a little more SNUG than depth. and the only DEPTH in obamas answers and/or statements is the DEPTH OF HIS LIES. hes a joke, and a farce. in undergrad he studied poli sci. In law school he gained his expertise in constitutional law. Poli Sci serves as a stepping stone. One of the topics of Poli Sci is "the constitution" how is there a big difference. A big difference would be if his degree was in sociology or psychology. You are entitled to you're opinion. I have a friend who swears 1+1=3, I have to let him be as well.

It would be better if Obama answered firt straightforwardly to let us know what his position is, and then pick it apart. As it is, I scarcely can discern what Obamas' positions are except that he holds to no definite position. He is shrouding his answers with legal jargon and stuttering. In America's darkest hour, you want Obama to be our leader?

I don't think it's shrouding. He says "I am Pro-Choice", and goes further to reason that we should take the focus away from abortion and lean more towards stopping the causes of abortion. These aren't words I'm imagining him saying. If you look at the whole interview- which I'm sure you have- he says almost those exacts words. If you disagree, then you disagree but don't say he isn't clear.

Obama is a people person and uses diplomacy and tact -not force- to accomplish goals. The last thing the world wants is another "manifest destiny" where America uses pugilistic means to get want they want. I certainly don't want that. McCain aggressive nature assures he will do just that.
