@saldork2 architects, first of all, are not needed for humans to go on. They make things aeshtetically pleasing, but not for function. I changed majors from architecture once I found out there is no money in it. Architects don't design structure, function, purpose....just the bullshit on the outside that hipsters can talk about to impress their moms

Civil engineers have a much higher starting salary than 12-15,000. Its more like 45,000 as a starting salary. I make 12,000 a year working at a hardware store part time.

civil engineers donnot design buildings they just calculate the structure ( amount of steel and concrete needed ) architects design buildings and all built environment ....and by the why the the pic of Sidney opera house ...that building is designed by jhon otzon ( 1:40 ) and his an architect not a civil engineer .....do ur research befor jumping into things

@darkd9999 sorry mate but its the "Sydney Opera House" and it was designed by a collobaration between Jørn Utzon and a team of engineers. It is not even correct to say that Jørn Utzon did a greater part of the design as he resigned while the project was under construction. Maybe you should do your own research before criticising others. Modern buildings are designed by a compromise between architectural design and engineering design.

@jezwillo1 civil engineers is not part of this kind of contruction,, it is a structural engineers,, civil engineers is only for roads and bridges,, horizontal development not vertical

@darkd9999 He designed it but he didn't build it. And you are wrong, Civil Engineers are capable of designing structures such as tunnels, bridges and basic buildings. The designs of architects can only come to life with the work of Civil Engineers. Conversely, Civil Engineers are capable of designing and fabricating structures (albeit aesthetically simple ones).

nice video im a young civil engineer, im 23 years old but really really u dont have to study just for the money, u should study beacuase its something that fills u and complete u ... so in my opinion it wasent necesary to put that in the video about the amount of money that u can make per year ... but nice clip i like it very much !
