lol snap when i had an accident fell out a tree breaking my arm having to spend 3 days in hospital after sugery to set my arm when i came round their was a new Barbie doll waiting on me sitting on my night stand and when i came home i got 3 more Barbies including DR Barbie mom said Barbie will take care of you
i loved Barbie as a kid [and being in the uk i loved Sindy too pretended the dolls were pen pals that met up lol] i had everything Barbie and i still got my dolls in the loft i sometimes buy the collecters ones but i never wanted to look like her if she was real shed look fake really also i need to maybe get my dolls down from the loft and make shure their okay poor Barbie shes up their with the spiders

I think that one of the reasons Barbie was made was to encourage young girls to be whatever they want to,and tell them that they are as pretty as Barbie! But, i dont like how skinny babie is! She is so skinny that if she was real her boobs would be so big and her waist so skinny that she would not be able to stand up for 2 seconds! And I have to agree when I was 5 i wanted to look and be as skinny and preety as Barbie, and i still feel like I am ugly and fat.
One time I had a barbie it was the ones that are white but alittle tanned like from the beach it had blue eyes and blonde hair so what i did was color its pink and made its eyes green then when ever i play with my friend and she has ken i always put jeans and then put ken's shirt with a elastic on the back to make like a tight t shirt..Dotn imitate barbie people Barbie should imitate you.

In ancient Egypt henna and kohl eyeliner were used. Vanity and the desire to embody unrealistic standards of beauty have always been here and always will be. It's part of the human psychology and instinct. The Barbie doll has nothing to do with it.

I'm more influenced by the Victoria Secret bitches.

I have over 200 Barbies. I have NEVER wanted to BE like Barbie, and when I was growing up, I never felt inadequate because I didn't look like her. I did/do, however, feel inadequate seeing movies, TV, sexy ads, Victoria's Secret models, reading Cosmo or Glamour etc., and seeing other girls my age who are all size 0s. Don't make Barbie a scapegoat for a sickened society. People should look in the mirror. Playing with dolls was the best time of my life...it's society that makes me feel empty.
I think that they are saying it is one of the many cases in which Barbie is a problem for people. It's not saying that every person who is playing with Barbies will have this problem. I grew up playing with a couple of barbies though I was much more into stuff like rubix cubes and puzzles.
