You coulda done some research about like... the 1950's or something. Like fashion, art, slang, decor, film making technology... SOMETHING that indicates the '50's other than "black and white".

The only things that really say "1950's" to me are the music, and the car, I guess.

All in all, not a bad attempt at a slender man movie. I just feel like you lost sight of the setting you were going for.
