@SuperMegaCyrus The M203 was around for 'Nam- barely. It was first introduced in '69 (which would be the year of this ep, given that Holmes arrived for Tet in '68 and we know Christmas has happened since). The M203 didn't see widespead use till the early 70s, but given the crazy shit Kharnage assembled for the battle, I'm sure he'd try to get his "lead actor" the coolest new weapon he could.
Then again, we probably would've cheated it even if it hadn't worked. Schawrz + M203= Epic Winning.
