@charger619c for everyone who realizes this. This is very true. The original track, Neon Night Riders, was hands down the grooviest, swankiest track I remember from my childhood. I beat this game but couldn't put myself through it again knowing they'd stripped away alot of what made this game worthy of rebooting... but failed to deliver. Nostalgia's a bitch that way I guess...

To be fair, the original game was made in 1991, a time where visions of the early part of the 21st century were very imaginative in the media back then. In my opinion, the remade version of the stage looks like its from one of the later Mega Man X games.

It'd be interesting to use an infinite life code on this level and just leave it running to see if the background ever repeats or how long it is. The original is 2D and they could repeat the BG if they have to. Since this game is in 3D with a 3D backdrop they either have it repeat in a clever way or it runs out at some point. Or maybe you go around a track. In any event I'm curious.
