@pspkh2 get the ios 4 from felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ then in itunes hold shift (pc) mac is something else... then click restore and select the ios 4 firmware from were u downloadd it to :) hope this helps

ok, my ipod is software version 4.2.1 and im trying to update to 4.3.3 or something, the latest one. it wouldnt update and i got "The iPod "iPod" could no be updated (11)" and i got the same for restore

i have an ipod touch 2g, i had it restored to original settings from jailbeak setting. then i found my itouch stuck on apple logo. then i tried DFU mode to restore it using itunes version 9.0 on windows 7. but and error 1601 keep on popping. i tried using windows xp still has error 1601. i downloaded itunes 10 and tried it again. walah!

it worked. im not sure though but i think the problem is software compatibility

Man t worked half way i saw that dud picture and it rebootes after 8 minutes than again froze to apple icon with wheel trying to load something it restart again and do the same thing over and over ;( any suggestion

i finaly got blackra1n to work on my pc but when i do that with my ipod, blackra1n says jailbreak complete (or something like that and a lot of begging for donation...) but after that it says waiting for reboot but my ipod doesn't do a thing :S

the way i fixed my 1604 error was by simply changing the port. who would have known it could have been so easy. you should all try it out!
