30 years ago this would never have happened because teenagers were brought up in an environment were respect was earned and if you stepped out of line you got the belt and you knew you had done wrong. This kind of approach is no longer tolerate because there is too many 'goody goody' people who think this punishment is inhumane, when in fact its exactly what this country needs. That's the problem these days. Nobody dares stand up for what's right, because if they do, they get put in the wrong. If that CHAV wasn't on the train without a valid ticket, knowing that it wasn't valid in the first place, then this wouldn't have happened. That's why he was mouthing off to the instructor, because people get away with this these days. People are retarded if they think that the 'big man' should be charged with battery. I would have acted in the exact same way in this situation!

Why should people have to wait for the law to come and handle this idiot? He was quickly dispatched, he had a chance to pay and to get off the train on his own but he just sat there like a bratty child. The problem was solved without wasting anyones time.
The younger generation (which I consider myself to be in) seems to think it can get away with anything because nobody is allowed to touch them, but he sure got a big surprise.

What saddens me is that this students father is now saying that the passenger should be charged with assault. Why? You see this is what is wrong with this country these days, affirmative action is now classed as doing something wrong. The student [aren't they all?] KNEW he didn't have the right ticket. He took a chance, it didn't work. He should have got off the train, with no verbal abuse, end of story. If it were me, and my dad saw this video, he'd say it was my fault and I should have paid.

The big man was out of order. The student hadnt assaulted anyone or asked to engage in any physical conduct. It was clearly a misunderstanding which both the student and the ticket officer were upset about, and it could have been sorted out without violence. But lets bear in mind this is Scotland, so there was bound to be a violent impatient scumbag around to interfere. I hope he goes to jail, he deserves it.

That 19 year old youth was assaulted by this big intimidating bully then physically thrown off the train to within an inch of his life. He could have banged his on the floor and got all kinds of injuries.The big guy should be ARRESTED!!!. If the big guy was Black he would have been arrested straight away and remanded in custody.

If the boy was clever he would have got off the train sooner. the child had plenty of opportunity to avoid confrontation, but he chose not to listen to the conductor. on the other hand the conductor (being the responsible one) should have called the police instead of continually asking the boy to get off, this is why the tension on the train escalated. The boy would have felt even worse knowing that the train wasn't moving because of him, & probably would have left b4 the police came

Weird that some people believe the big fella did something wrong. The ticket inspector wanted him off the train - the big fella offered - off he went! No unnecessary violence, only appropriate force - job done!
The alternative was the train would have been delayed, the police would have been called, dozens of people would have been inconvenienced - and he'd still have had to get off. Sometimes we have to police ourselves.

Youtube needs to put filters in place to stop people swearing on here. If the youth had not paid or simply lost his ticket, then he should have accepted that he needed to leave the train without complaint regardless of cause. Inconsiderate and foolish people like this that have no empathy for other passengers will always be a problem until they understand right from wrong.
