  • Don't sleep on pull-ups, dips, or push-ups (when done correctly)...I'm a gymrat, hittin heavy weights and all, but my upperbody increased in size, am more flexible (stretching is super important to building strength, definition, etc), and in regards to the subject at hand, my abs became more defined...YouTube BarTenders, or Calisthenic workouts... And also consider vitamin supplements along with a healthy diet (highly recommend MegaMen Sport)... Your energy will go thru the roof (see reviews)

  • @Riveraman08 The only way anyone can give you an answer is taking tests to measure your body fat and knowing what body type you fit under. Not everyone is just one particular type. If your lean, I am certain you will start to see progress, eventually but if your very obese, it will take longer, and require more high cardiovascular activity and low calorie diet. Having said that though, diet is no.1 followed by intensity and type of workouts. Everyone is different though.

  • @Riveraman08 Ok. If you stick to a good exercise regime and train hard, then it is most likely you will see results. Just remember though, each person is different and what may work with one person does not entirely mean that you will achieve the same result at the same timeframe. But understanding your body type is important in my experience. Nutritiion still no.1. I suggest looking at exercises that focus entirely on your abdominals\obliques & lower back with high intensity levels. Hope helps

  • im quite fit and exercise almost everday. and run for 20 to 30 mins regularly and i dont have big love handles but my back right by my kidneys i cant seem to get rid of the fat there

  • These are the best excercises FOR love handles I ever did. They the easiest but work the best.

  • ITS VERY IMPORTant to kombine workouts, with cardio, strenght, then you will get maximum results,

  • No amount of exercise will get your mid section cut without fixing your diet as well.

  • @bubbyj lmao how wrong, I burnt 1500 calories at the gym 6 days ago (though I eat like 3000 worth lol). When I was in high school I had a six pack and ate like 6000 calories a day. Was 215lbs only benched 250lbs, but dead lifted 750lbs and leg pressed 950lbs (950lbs was the max on the machine). But yeah for the most part your right; unless someone is doing an insane amount of workout you need to fix your diet. Now I'm hella unhealthy...sry for wall of text, have condition etc don't get to sleep.

  • @bubbyj Sorry not true. Now it's given that any amount of "spot" exercise wont due, however it's a matter of calorie intake vs. use. If you can ,manage to burn off the calories then it's very possible to do. I used to eat at least 3000 calories a day but I worked out 2 hrs straight of intense weight lifting on top of working out at home and bicycling etc.

  • @jbetenbender 3000 calories with an intense workout routine is what I would consider a fixed diet. When I bulk for powerlifting stuff I eat 7000+. You have to realize that a meal at McDonalds is easily 2000 calories. By "fixing your diet" I mean lowering how much you eat. 3000 calories is a healthy amount for a young active person with a training regiment.

  • @bubbyj Dam then my intake must have been much higher (I actually ate much more used to eat Chinese etc but that's besides the point). I was just pointing out that you can maintain your diet and just exercise... a lot. All in all it seems we where essentially thinking the same thing, but I thought that by "fixing your diet" you meant ur diet CAN'T be compensated with exercise.

    Off topic, but I read somewhere that it's healthy for guys to have fast food once a week, btw I h8 McDonald's.

  • @jbetenbender For years people have reccomended "cheat days" as in just eat whatever you want for one meal. It's basically to keep you from going crazy because you eat the same stuff all the time lol. And yeah you're right about what I meant. Obviously active lifestyles fix a lot of problems without dieting, but I just meant that only exercising won't get you super ripped if you are eating Big Macs and burritos all the time haha.

  • @bubbyj Yeah all so true. Aw I thought burritos where healthy :( Most people wont do near enough activity on a daily basis to pull off eat whatever you want. Lmao I'm hella incoherent. I give you thumbs up for being assertive and open minded rather than aggressive and stubborn like most youtubers. Also figure it's worth mentioning; you can also eat more if instead of having meals u just eat something small every 3 hrs (it heightens your metabolism:).

  • @jbetenbender Most stuff I read says eat a good sized breakfast, snack, small lunch, snack, good size dinner, then some kind of complex protein (something like cottage cheese) right before bed time. spaced every 3 ours or so so yeah you are right. It helps keep your metabolism working all through the night.

  • these actually do work really well surprisingly.. i've been doing them for like 2 or 3 weeks & they've gotten rid of about 3 or 4 inches on my waist.

    you gotta really crunch your sides though. but it does work. :)

  • with push ups and crunches and jumping jackz... you can lose 20 kilos in 3 mths if you do it 7 days a week, 3 hrs per day.... and eat heavy breakfast, light lunch and light dinner.. do the excercise after breakfast, 1 hr later, and have plenty of water

  • building muscle will help burn fat faster. So when you do cut down on fattening foods, you'll notice the difference in those areas you worked on. That's how I lost most of my love handles last year! unfortunately I gained them back last winter ¬__¬

  • This would not get rid of them. Sure the muscle under the fat will be firmer but you need to get rid of the fat. The only way I know to get rid of the fat is to do cardiovascular exercise. Try and do a full body workout and also eat healthier foods. Raw food is the best as all the goodness remains. Also cut out junk food and fatty foods. Swimming, running and cycling or playing sport is a good fun way to exercise and it works most of your muscles and gives your body a good workout.

  • Learn a little about the science behind how your body works. You cannot target fat loss. There is no special exercise to lose fat in a certain area only to gain muscle in a certain area. Diet and Interval training with high Intensity workouts produce hormones that will help burn fat while maintaining muscle. The goal is to maintain as much muscle as you burn fat and increase your metabolism. Muscle burns fat.

  • yes but muscles will then use the fat in that area to maintain itself..providing you are also watching your diet and you exercise regularly...to burn fat from anywhere you need to gain muscles in that area or you will look flopsy if you just diet alone

  • Cardio exercise helps ALOT to reduce fat, also during that do some muscle workout (abs for me ;) )

    Do that then when the fat reduces the muscle will show.

    Remember to watch what you eat since you dnt want to put any more on then when you started

    Thats a first, as most opt for larger calves...

    I would suggest that you stop walking and buy a wheel chair, or you can always get surgery to remove tissue from your lower legs.

  • Jordan means tighter calf all you do is tippy toe

  • when you play soccer you develop HUGE calves and it's understandable to want to reduce its size.I played other sports and within a month I had reduced them to half its size

  • well if you mean 'tighter' calfs then i sugest just tippy toe it tends to tighten the calfs and you'll have less fat around that area

  • these excersizes will only work depending on how much fat you have there to begin with. If you are more overweight then average then i'd recommend jsut sticking to the high intensity cardio workouts + low fat/high protein diet. These arn't intense enough to really burn the fat off the sides.

  • Wow! these excersies are fun, easy, and they help! But just a little FYI for everyone, to completely lose the love handles, you need to excersise your entire body as well ;)

  • the best way to loose weight is to buy some wrist,ankle weight and a weighted vest put it on and run 30 minutes each day,don't eat after 7pm,that would help you loose weight and build muscle

  • The truth is that you can't spot reduce anyway, if you do a certain amount of cardio that will burn fat and then exercises like these (especially if you add weights) will tone those areas

  • this is a great little workout :) i am already skinny, but love handles are a problem, stay religious with the workout and it should work like a charm :)

  • well I did these exercises for about 3-4 weeks and then, sadly, I gave up :[ ugh I always give up. I'm so lazy I swear but I'm gonna do them again. Anyways, I wasn't sure if these exercises would work cuz I'm always skeptical but they definitely work! C: at least they did for me. I am not even kidding when I say that my love handles shrunk or well got smaller by a half. Like I couldn't believe it but it works =D

  • For those of you who actually bothered to read the Title of this video. You can obviously see that it doesn't say "how to loose weight". It says "Get rid of your love handles." Which is what it is targeting, "Your Love Handles".

  • These work outs really work. But its not just the excersizes that you have to follow. You should also stray from those really fattening foods. Stick to whole grains, vegetables, fruits,ect. Basically anything thats healthy. And presto ! You have a formula for a better body :)

  • Okay I've did this yesterday for about 30 minutes and my body is aching all over today. I try not to sneeze or else my muscles near the love handles would ache like hell. I can't continue today due to the pain and hopefully would be able to resume this workout either tomorrow or the day after when the pain resides. I'll be doing this religiously for 1 month. If my love handles don't go away after that I'll probably starve myself for 1 month.

  • Cool ...tell me how it works out and don't forget - no pain no gain . O don't starve urself ...be on a 1200 calorie diet . If you starve urself thats bad.

  • Can't see any improvements yet, love handles still there. I guess a longer period of time may be necessary to obtain positive results. Anyway, I'm still little skeptical on this workout routine as I didn't break a sweat doing all this. Will see how it goes. Starving is a no-no, maybe i'll just watch the diet and avoid oily stuff. I don't know if the guy below me who lost his love handles in 2 weeks is telling the truth or not.

  • There all gone !! hahah ! I only started this 2 weeks ago , and there all gone ! But , i did it religously , every day , 2 or 3 times a day , and 100 for each rep. But , if you just started this , you should start with less , then build your resistance :) Best of luck !
