  • this is how u make a legit video... great job

  • i miss here i come falling.

  • @sk8rsrockinfl than you didn't watch my TOP 15 BEST CHRISTIAN BREAKDOWNS ;-)

  • attack attack isn't christian anymore...

  • @RockTheGABE that's right, but Someday Came Suddenly was written by the singer who was a real christian, but I heard they kickid him out because he was too much of a christian...

  • @JFskeezix these list of bands are christian right? except for attack attack?

  • @comradeH well, they all were, but the christian singer and lyricist from Attack Attack! was kicked out of the band and now they make stupid songs like "sexy chocolat" and so on.

  • @JFskeezix oh okay :) thnx for ur info

  • @comradeH your welcome :)

  • stick stickly's breakdown is amazing btw

  • i actually know the guy who was norma jeans first drummer

  • @blowcry: cool :)

  • nice job on putting this 2 gether

  • @RealMcAhole52: thanks man! :D I appreciate it

  • No mortal Treason :(

  • @WonderBredNinja: sorry, their breakdowns are xBRUTALx so they dont fit in here ;)

  • Again, loving the breakdown lists. This one has some more variety to it too, such as Virginia Creeper and Attack Attack! Nice job, man.

  • @TopHat: Thanks dude :D Cheers me up!

  • first 1 sounds more like an intro

  • @BrutalPodSmoker: it is :) they started the song with a breakdown as an intro.

  • yeah TDWP best song =D 5/5

  • Religion is Latin for relationship.

Die Religion Die= Die Relationship Die

Plus, there are many references in the Old Testament as well as some in the New Testament that state that there should be religion.

  • @xxmaffeyxx: You should read the lyrics to understand what this song means. thank you

  • @JFskeezix the lyrics state the exact same point that the song title does.

I still stand with my former statement.

  • @xxmaffeyxx: then you dont understand the lyrics.

  • @JFskeezix then explain them.

  • @xxmaffeyxx: This song is all about selfrighteousness and condemning other people for not following tradition an man-made rules. It's all about the the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees (Matthew 16).

"Im sick of all your rules

    They're so man-made

You treat them all like fools

You put my name to shame

    Im everything youre not

    I give them love

    My ways you have forgot

    You put yourselves above"

  • @JFskeezix Okay then that makes sense. I apologize. You are correct.

  • @xxmaffeyxx: Thanks brother :D Stay blessed!

  • Attack Attack! is not a christian band in any way, shape or form, the guitarist/songwriter said in an interview and laughed at the question when he was asked if they were christian, he said "haha deffinately not, but i do get that question alot"

  • Hm really? Do you have a link or video for me?

  • Maybe it was the new screamer instead of the older one?

  • @ dphills202: You need to understand the difference between religion and faith.

Die Religion Die is about religion by the rules of man, you know; the Pharisees who constantly tried to create their own rules to boast about their own goodness and to opress the people around them. True faith is about having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Brian "Head" Welch is a born again christian. You should check out his awesome testimony in the video "I Am Second" here: watch?v=Kf5WYigZHME

    Gbu

  • very nice but what the heck at #3?

  • lol, that's one of the most unusual type of breakdowns I could find. Do you hear the rythem of a real breakdown in the acoustic guitar? I laughed when I discovered it :P

  • yeah kinda

dude that breakdown made me go wild

  • lol

  • miseration has christian members and use religious themes. good band =)

  • their vocalist doesn't seem very christian in hid vocubalary. He uses the word "f*ck" a lot :s I was disappointed when I saw them in concert first. Although I heard the giy who wrote the album (both music and lyrics) is a christian.

  • @JFskeezix most people think jani is christian. if so hes realy laid back because he uses as much language as everyone else in the band.

  • at least Im happy it's not up to me to decide who's a real christian or not. I have my own responsibility of what I'm listening to.

  • its nice to hear some norma jean... but pretty much every part of their music isnt like normal metalcore... good southern rock influenced bands....

  • their genre is called mathcore :)

  • Are You from NZ some of them are from NZ

  • nope, im from The Netherlands

  • the best breakdown from one of my top two bands made it number one in this vid hell yea! TDWP FTW!

  • not my favorite list but here i come falling, attack attack, underneath the gun, and the devil wears prada are great choices

  • No TDWP in either video? :'(

    But still, awesome list. haha.

  • it's better to wait with commenting and start talking after you saw the whole video ;-)

  • @AttemptedAustin Uhh.. The Devil Wears Prada was #1...? Salvation.

  • I love Underneath the Gun :D Awesome videos, keep it up man.

  • yeah i really like the claps and "wheeeehew!" haha

  • saving grace/bloodsport sick choices, but whats with #3 acoustic throwdown? lol

  • well, it's because you never find an acoustic breakdown, so it's really a diFfeRenT kind of breakdown ;)

  • ya true, thats the first acoustic breakdown ive ever heard

  • Good choice about IN VAIN ;-)

  • funny you pick one of the most none-hardcorish bands xD

  • Jejeje, it's because I like more christian black/death metal than hxc ;-)

  • yeah thats a bit what I expected ;-)

have you heard of the Christian Metal Fellowship? They are a group of people who are interested in all kinds of christian metal:

    myspace >>> christianmetalfellowship

  • Benea Reach is soooooooo sick

  • salvation is just only the continuation of modeify the pronounciation. modeify has better breakdown

  • I disagree. There is a smooth transition between Modeify and Salvation, but at the end of Modeify you hear clearly that the song has ended. Salvation is the outro song of Dear Love, but imo still a full song by itself.

  • need to check out For Today best band ive ever heard

  • I know and love them, but their breakdowns are xBRUTALx do don't fit in his video :P

  • yea thts true, good video tho :D

  • thx :)

  • its a shame attack attack! doesnt act christian they are my favorite band of all time :/

  • what do you mean?

  • watch there live performances and even there studio blogs and they cuss more than a normal person does and they drink and smoke its kinda dissapointing

  • hm okay, maybe they have to learn more. I mean, when you're a christian it's not that you're perfect immediatly. Just pray for them and let God do the working in their hearts :)

  • uh... the first one is epic, the second one is even better although its has a lot cursing, but its all "little" stufff so too say, like hell and damn, but overall its pretty good:)

  • okay cool, maybe i'll watch them some day ;-)

  • The TDWP breakdown could def. be a song in the next Transformer's movie if there is one, haha, but good video man! this is sweet, keep up the good work, your honoring good too, God Bless :)

  • I guess you're right although I haven't seen Transformers yet ;) Are these movies nice to watch? Thanks for your kind words! God bless you too! :)

  • your videos are sick, i watched the other one too, they are amazing, you have a good taste in music

  • thanks pal :) Im glad you like it

    God bless you

  • attack attack. wow, very creative. Nice vid by the way, i liked the 15 and the 16. Great looking.

  • haha thanks :D Im glad you like it!

    God bless ya

  • I got brian head welches cd on the release day and it is amazing. Glad to see him up here!

  • hmhm ^_^

  • I love the Virginia Creeper One. Its really different

  • most of them are different, but Virginia Creeper is indeed very original :)

  • The Devil Wears Prada OWNZZZ!!!

  • yepp XD

  • I live Underneath The Gun, sad they broke-up. Know where I can find their lyrics? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

  • I dunno, maybe you should just buy their album :P

  • I've never seen it in a store, and I don't really like buying online. ha

  • Faith is your exit? that was fucking shitty lol. some were good some werent

  • @ metalcore211: but 'this vid is not about the best or sickest breakdowns, it's about the most original and weird breakdowns :P

  • Ok. That explains it. But that doesn't change my mind about Faith Is Your Exit. Shouldn't be in there lol

  • of course it must be in here! The fact that you dont like it doesnt change the fact that an acoustic breakdown is truly unique xD

  • Ya did it again man, I have a new one too : Brutal Christian Breakdowns!

  • @ eparkett57: Thanks! :) Okay i will have a look!

  • Nice to see Saving Grace, great band. Sweet vid again as well, great job!

  • yep, Im glad I discovered them and Bloodsport as well :)

  • You should check out the breakdown in Cheyenne by Settle the Sky. It's pretty exotic

  • I love Settle The Sky and their breakdowns are truly awesome! Though they dont fit in this video, because their breakdowns are xBRUTALx :P

  • Dude, great videos! Wish my Chrisian friends listened to these genre(s) of music, I stand out in my youth. haha. Keep on, keepin' on man.

  • thanks pal :D. Well, maybe you just need to convert them to christian metal xD

  • OH MY GOD!! I friggin FLIPPED OUT when I heard the Viginia Creeper breakdown! Friggin amazing!!! I'ma check their myspace out. The sound a little bit like blackend death metal. Total EPIC!

  • haha cool :) I really love Virginia Creepers music! He's like the christian Marilyn Manson :P

  • u make really cool videos, sweet man

  • @ sk8rrmatty13: Thanks, I really did my best so Im glad you appreciate it :)

  • tdwp best band ever

  • amen ^_^

  • Faceless by UTG=Epic

  • @ AugustBurner/Nexbire: too bad they broke up :'(

  • you should make these as video responses to satanic breakdown videos..by the way add some underneath the gun...oh and thanks alot of these bands i didn't even know...Christian Metal is one of the reasons i got saved...GO CHRIST METAL!!!!!!

  • @ WESTSIDEGENIUS: It's great to see God is using unexpected ways to bring people into His Kingdom :D Halleluja!

  • no one knows of beyond the shore they have some bangin original breakdowns

  • yes!

  • Ever heard of For Today? Great band, Christian, and have "different" breakdowns

  • I have Eklessia for some time now, but in my opinion their breakdowns are xBRUTALx and not different ^_0

  • ekklesia was pretty brutal hardcore, but For Today's new stuff is insane. listen to that ;)

  • yup I heard a few songs, truly brutal!

  • Try out their new album. It's pretty awesome. They are still brutal, and not SO different, but you'd enjoy it.

  • yeah they are cool i listen to them for all their base drops its so cool

  • i fucking love the virginia creeper breakdown. then i went lookin for the music. heard the whole song and hated it. especially like, after i saw what they looked like in there myspace pics and the song on myspace is a worse recording i guess.

  • well, you first have to get used to the whole sound. It's not your typical kind of metal...

  • friggen heck whered you get saving grace from if your from nederlands?!

ive seen them play alot theyre so good

  • Oh but internet is called the World Wide Web you know ;-). I just love to discover new radical christian bands and sometimes I search myspace, Cheers dude!

  • yeah they are so mean

at this one show they stopped playing

and prayed for everyone and the nz hxc scene

    soo sick

then they played some more haha

  • That's really awesome! Jesus Christ must be working through their lives in a really powerful way...

  • and im not trying to start an argument or anything.. nothing against your judgement or anything... but Brian "Head" Witch or w.e it is.. "Die Religion Die" doesnt seem like a good pick for this video.. not because its not a good breakdown, but because your were running off of them being christian..it just doesnt sound to christian to me is all.. any thoughts on that? :)

  • Die Religion Die is about religion by the rules of man, you know; the Pharisees who constantly tried to create their own rules to please themselfs and the people around them. True faith is about having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Brian "Head" WELCH (not witch, lol) is a born again christian. You should check out his awesome testimony in the video "I Am Second" here: watch?v=Kf5WYigZHME

    Cheers and God bless!

    Jeroen

  • Thats Awesome.. i just watched that video like 3 times..i even showed it to my mom..

its amazing how someones life can go from so bad to so much better...

    Thankyou.

    GodBless :D

  • Cool! :D God is so great because of the way He saved him! And so did He with me!

I'm glad God worked through that video and I hope your mom got touched as well :)

    Jesus loves you!

  • say whaaa? i had no idea underneath the gun was influenced by Christianity.. thats cool to know :D i guess you learn something new every day

  • Yeah, UTG was a radical christian band. Too bad they had to stop...

  • Once again, another great vid. I like the idea of "different" breakdowns. Awesome that you put Attack Attack! in there, even though you should of used the end of Party Foul instead of the middle. A question for you: Where do you find these bands most people never hear of? Continue life with Christ and you will go far. GOD BLESS!!

  • and to you thanks again for the nice comment :)

about the two breakdowns in Party Foul: I see what you mean, but I think the first breakdown I chose is more different than the one at the end. I really like the electronic keyboard computer sound you hear during the first.

And about these bands: most of them I find through myspace just by browing the friends of the bands I already know. And some I know because of friends in my church :)

    Peace and God bless you!

  • praise jesus for this music i pray that our strengths equal our challenges for where i am weak i find strength in you

  • amen bro!

    1 Corinthians 10:13 says

"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

  • yeah, im working on one now. ill link it to you when im done or something.

  • cool! dare to make it better than mine ;)

  • ummm, you cut off salvation just when it got good.

i know this was "different" breakdowns, but i still would have reversed the order.

  • yes, I did that on purpose so after the little "number 1" break the most epic part starts. I think it gives a great effect :).

Yeah, well you can always create your own vid (if you got time), cause this is just based on my opinion ;)

  • cool design! =))

  • Well thank you :D cheers me up!

  • another great video dude 5 stars. keep em coming if you still even have more bands haha. oh and a quick question, are these all christian bands too?

  • haha, well maybe I know a few more. I love to discover new bands, but I only keep listening te them when Im sure they're christian (so the answer is yes). lol

  • This one is better than the last.

Underneath the gun is so good.

    5 stars.

  • Thanks! :D I'm so glad you like this one better. I really tried to improve it and I'm happy someone confirms that :).

    Cheers!

  • AUSSIECORE FUCKING OWNS

  • hm?

  • Dude both of your breakdown videos were really good and I found out about a LOT of bands so I really want to say Thanks! Also, you should check out the breakdown from Never Lose Sight of the Goals by For Today (A Christian band) and also the one from Best Case Scenario by Mortal Treason (also a Christian band =]). Actually, the whole song is kind of a breakdown....haha anyway awesome vids!!!!

  • Great to hear you like it and you got to know more christian bands :D. It means that the purpose of my video's is successfully reached!

Thanks for the tips. I have both Ekklesia and Sunrise over a Sea of Blood, but I had to make a choice. At the time I created my Top 15 Ekklesia wasn't released yet, and in my Top 16, instead of brutal breakdowns, there had to be different breakdowns to put in it.

    Thanks and God bless you!

  • If you want a really different breakdown, look up If You Want To Blame Us For Something, Please Abuse This Song by War From A Harlots Mouth. They use a machine in the song!

  • where can i listen to this song? And do they have christian band members?

  • Just search it on youtube. And im pretty sure they are. I heard that they pray on stage before the show starts.

  • hm, i just looked up their lyrics and I saw 'f*ck*ng' a few times. I dont think it's a christian band, but thanks anyway for the tip ;)

  • Suggestion. If you want to find some more different break downs, search bands listed by the genre of Technical Metal.

One band I know is "The Faceless"

all clean vocals too. I love that.

  • Okay, thanks for the tip. Is it a christian band? You see, I principally listen to bands with christian members. And I only buy cd's, but for now I have enough ;-)

  • I don't think so because is not like their that religeous in their music or anything. But I like clean vocs. and I don't think they curse in their shows.

  • okay, well that's an advantage :) is the song available on youtube/myspace?

  • Hey man great videos, I've seen 'em both.

I highly recommend that in either your next different breakdown vid (or even chritstian one for that matter) to throw Before Their Eyes. Although not my favorite band (that being ABR), they definitely fit the bill perfectly for a different breakdown.

My recommendation in their song 'City in a Snow Globe' The majority of their music is kind of like A Day to Remember, but then they come out with these ridiculous breakdowns from out of thin air...

  • Thanks dude!

And thanks for the tip. I've heard of Before Their Eyes, but I never make twice the same kind of video. The next video will most likely be about christian metal as a concept or something like that. Besides, I don't have an album from Before Their Eyes and I don't do downloading.

    Cheers!

  • haha another apperance from The Devil Wears Prada ohhhyeah!!!

  • yupp I just had to ;)

  • do you gotta link for faith is your exit? that song sounds amazing

  • i got it from purevolumedotcom/dearelizabeth but it's not there anymore I see.

  • i live like 20 minutes from cry of the afflicted and i walked into a bathroom at a concert and he was there at the urinal beside me and he was talkin to me about how there not a band anymore :p

  • too bad! lots of great bands quit after some time: Once Nothing, Here I Come Falling, Underneath The Gun, Cry of the Afflicted and the list goes on :'(

  • zeker verslaavend deze

    zit bij je hyve trouwens!

  • oke hip :)

  • Thanks! :D

Oh Dear Elizabeth is awesome and very heavy, but this is an acoustic song and it contains a breakdown and to me that's extraorinary :)

    LoL

  • Vette shit man :D

  • Bedankt gozer! :D

  • reaction on what you say about Miseration:

Miseration has Jani Stefanovic in it (he kinda started the band) it was mend to be an followup from Renascent but the lead singer had not enough time for a band (he did some vocals on the song thrones), so jani went searching for another singer, and came with christian ;)

So, yes Miseration has at least one Christian member. Don't know about others, i guess the drummer is also a chistian, but don't know for sure

    the movie is awsome ;)

  • hey thanks for the info! I was at their first show at Fear Dark fest one year ago. I was stoked about seeing them live, but at the moment Christian started to talk I got disappointed. The guy was kinda nervous I think and tried to hide it by using stupid words as "d*mn" and "f*ck*ng" over and over again. I immediatly stopped moshing because I just couldn't enjoy their music anymore :s

  • oh and btw, tomorrow I will see them again together with Inevitable End :D. I hope so that since last year christian has changed his vocabulary ;-)

  • So, you must live in Holland then. (net zoals ik :)) But yes what you say is true, i saw them at brainstorm last year and was also disappointed by chrisians' vocabulary, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the music, because it's awesome!

I was planning to go tomorrow, but i'm ill at the moment so can't go :( to bad

  • Very good video, best breakdown video around. Really enjoyed it!

  • Thanks! :D Im glad you appreciate it!

  • i second what RemcoMB says!!

  • Thanks to you too :)

  • Attack Attack! is epicccccccc. I am so glad you put that breakdown in there. I get chills every time I listen to that.

  • @ Pabloelintocable: yeah i really love Attack Attack! Their sound is new and refreshing and their breakdowns are so heavy! :D

  • cool ass breakdowns! all i have not heard of yet except the norma jean one, attack attack, underneath the gun :D 2 thumbs up!

  • @ jaba06: Thanks so much! :D Glad I could help you discover new bands :D
