Käpälä fishing is a tradition of the native indigenous people. Who the heck are you to come as fishing tourists and criticize? I have never ever seen such BS and ignorance as this on Youtube...
It is a tradition yes, and tradition is important. But greed and tradition are two seperate things. You can't ignore the fact that the Norwegian wild salmon is about to be extinct. You can't ignore the fact that the 'forvaltning' is corrupt either. This is not BS, this is reality.
In English: "If you do not like it, leave it. And if the salmon is under threat, why are you fishing??!"
Well, we care, so we won't leave it. Changes have to be made to preserve the norwegian "arvesølv". We are fishing, yes, but we release each fish we catch. If all fishermen would do this for 5 years, the salmon population would have a chance to restore. If you are fishing too, then you can't deny that in the past 5 years the amount of salmon in the rivers have decreased dramatically.
