As an opera fan, I have always loved La Traviata. Watching Garbo and Taylor together in the film version, Camille, is always a special treat. Robert Taylor was an exceptionally versatile actor. He was very young in this film, but does an excellent job being paired with veteran actress Greta Garbo.

Astaire, needless to say, was perfection and Charisse acquitted herself extremely well as usual.
