Yeah, I'm usually in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Rheinland-Pfalz, and occasionally in Darmstadt, so I guess it's sort of Northish from N/W at least... I haven't been to that part of Germany yet. Yet.

Does every town in Germany have a Philosophenweg?! I hope Jena's isn't the huge hike Heidelberg's is! ;)

Well, that's interesting. I used to have a pen-friend in Bad Dürkheim. and where I live now is about halfway between Darmstadt and Würzburg, the top end of the Romantische Straße.
