Im not really a big fan of these quite diesels. The insanely loud cars is mostly why i go to these races. If the audi's and peugeot's sounded like a 12 valve cummins, everybody would shit.

There is no doubt in my mind that Le Mans is the greatest motor race in the world. I have watched the Indy 500, and I have watched F1, but nothing compared with the tension of watching the cars go at each other for 24 hours. Never have I felt as scared as when I saw Rockenfeller's crash (I missed the start lol). And never have I been so happy as when the last Audi won the race. It was fitting after the accidents.

@backofthefeild No, for several reasons.

1. He got out immediately- therefore there was none of the anxious waiting, not knowing who it was or how they were.

2. McNish's crash was much less severe- the corner where he crashed is about 70-100mph slower then where Rockenfeller crashed, and he had some gravel trapping to slow him down a bit- Rockenfeller went head-first into a wall. Head-on collilions are much more damaging.

3. I missed the start lol- I wasn't watching at the crash.
