  • gratulerer med kjøpet :)

  • sounds like the timing is too advanced

  • do you know the difference between a 69 chevelle ss and a 69 chevelle malibu .........idk

  • The SS was the performance version of the Malibu, usually Malibus had 350s or 6-cylinders and SS had 396 (which was really a 402 lol) also the SS had a more sporty gauge cluster, bucket seats, transmission on the floor rather than column shifters, as far as performance goes they had much more heavy duty rear ends and a few other stronger components

But today it doesnt really matter, almost any 60s/70s muscle car you see has been completely restored and most likely to updated specs anyways

  • Actually all Malibu's had V8 as they were still a high grade option, you could order them with 307,327,350. The 396 did not become the 402 until late 1969. The Malibu could come with the same gauges as the SS, bucket seats, manual tranny, and could be ordered with a 12 bolt rear end if asked for. The base model of the Chevelle was the Chevelle 300, Malibu was the package ordered for style and SS for performance.

  • @Boredout454 ...you might be able to answer this from you screen name....If I bore out a 396 0.30 over how many CI's is afterwards?

  • @axeman7000 It would make it a 402, however if you have a late 1969-197+ 396 block its actually a 402 already because they changed it in late 1969 but didnt change the name. So if you have a late 1969 on up 396 (402) block and bored it out .030 over it would be a 408

  • @Boredout454 ...tks for gettin' back to me. It's in my 66 chevelle. I'm not sure what year the engine is since my chevelle is not a 138 vin...it's a 136 vin. Original engine probably 327 or 350 previously in it. I'm guessing your right with the 402 with .030 over....but I need to do more research to find out what year the engine is....tks for your time.

  • @axeman7000 Hey not a problem man, whatever i can do to help. See if you cant get the vin off of the engine block. Although this would be difficult if its still in the car lol.

  • trim package, seats, instrument cluster, badges, stripes, engine, etc, it can be a lot of things.

  • hey, my dad has the exact same car as you! except ours is blue with the white stripes (: he's actually just fixing some stuff up with the engine at the moment!

  • send that back to the U.S. were it belongs. Those roads are going to eat it alive

  • i agree alot to that one cars made in the U.S should stay in the U.S

  • go get a life.

  • @iamkevin311 Lol, that's just weak dude :p

  • Kewl CAR!!!

  • does anybody know the 0-60 and 1/4 mi. of a stock 327 chevelle malibu '69

  • outstanding

  • beautiful car sir. i think i just shit my pants...

  • Man, you need some better roads for that.

  • Denne står på jessheim, utenfor Oslo :)

  • you said a mouthful!

  • hvor i norge finnes denne da?

  • the wheels on that car really set it off. and it sounds great.

  • fuckin awsome. sweet sound, that's a real car. fuck riceburners

  • Another one saved from being hacked into a pimp mobile. Good job.

  • Very nice! What size engine do you have and what type of exhaust system (including muffler)?

  • Cant beat the sound of american muscle. when i was young i had a 68 and a 69... sweeeet

  • the chevelle and the 68-73 orvette are my favorite cars and this video makes me just love them more =]

  • should of left a smokey burnout

  • that's american you can't get any better than that.

  • Aw your Cam makes the Idle of the car sound so nice. What Cam and lifters do you have it sounds so nice.

  • Nice car mate, i'm jealous

  • Damn my dad had a 66 ss with the 396 and 4 speed hurst he parted it out i was so mad!1

  • so did my uncle but it was a '69 which is my favorite car

  • my dad had the exact same car but green and sold it for 3000$ in 1990, what an Idiot lol.

  • Set that timing & turn the idle up! Trying to make the cam sound longer or what?

  • V8 - nothing more to tell... =D

  • Wow I love it cuz you keep it the classic way.Which motor does it have on it???

  • Very nice.

  • sounds like it has a big cam by the way it starts :)

  • it does, listen to the idle..

  • my girlfrinends brother has one

  • It was amazing car in 70s and 80s i think :)

  • actully late 60's to very early 70's. after that they were crap like everything else from that time period

  • ....wow an ongoing arguement about chevelle's...nice

nice car man must have taken some love to have it in that shape

  • sweet car dude chevelles come in my top 5 of american classics, this one sounds awesome!

  • wow you all are idiots

    all the cars were Chevelles

SS was the Performance package, 396ci engine, larger fuel/brake lines, disc brakes, 4 speed muncie trans, also the 12 bolt rear, also no luxury items aka you could not get it with A/C

the luxury package was the 300 Deluxe model, which usually came with a/c and am radio, and even power windows optional, the malibu was the base car where they had smaller engines like the 307 and the 350, no big blocks here...thanks for wasting my time

  • Check your facts, A/C was an available option on all SS Chevelles, Chevelle was the basic model. 300 was next, a lot of 300's were 2dr post models, not a real high luxury option package here. Next was Malibu, again a/c was available, SS was performance package w/ added trim available. All were Chevelles. SS were available in manual or automatic trans. I had a '68 SS396 4sp., my buddy had a '69 convertable SS396 w/ FACTORY A/C & th400 trans. & power windows. I hope I didn't waste MY time...

  • malibu was a better package than 300..... it could have a/c, am, etc. they both had smallblocks. and ss396 could be either auto or stick. nice try though.

  • I want it.

  • Thats a 454 in this one dudes.

    End of that.

  • Damn nice car, I would love to buy one of those. And how did you get a 454 it wasn't till 1970 they were allowed to put more than 400 cubic inch motors in on the midsize... well anyway love it want it and youre are lucky son. Beautiful piece of machinery you stumbled on

  • Its not the original motor i guess.

  • Well, Jeff, the '69 Yenko Chevelles had 427's in them.

  • Nice car. But since half the ass clowns on here dont know a freaking thing about classic american cars. I will help out. Chevelle was considered base. Malibu luxury. and chevelle ss was more of an apperance package unless ordered with a big block. The 1970 chevelle ss was the first year offering a 454 big block. In 1969 the biggest engine offered was a 396

  • most if not all 69 396's were actually displacing 402, but they still called them 396's because the name was so popular.. i do believe

  • Actually Malibu was base, Chevelle was luxury, and the SS option was a better version of the luxury package. 396's were actually 402's but they did keep the 396 badging because of the popularity. My dad has a 70 Chevelle SS 396. I know plenty enough about these cars.

  • In 64, Malibu started out as the luxury option and later became the more inferior option. Its kinda weird.

  • Oh ok. That would make sense then. Im not to familiar with chevelles before 68 lol.

  • Actually you are wrong, you are one of those clowns too, 402 and 427s were offered in special package chevelles.

  • 402 was not badged tell 1972. not offered in 1969. 427 was a copo. not built by chevy it was a copo sold thru yenko baldwin ect. so agian chevy did not offer a engine bigger then 396 for 1969. sorry to school you clown.

  • late in year 69 they 396 went to 402, it wasn't exactly at the end of the year they decided to change the car stayed the same, same badges etc. but the 396 was now a 402.

  • holy shit, if that car was a word it would be sex. and i agree who needs a fast car when a car looks like that. and anyway, most people rarley go over 120km these days so its all good.

  • nice ass malibu looks really nice sounds nice to

  • i fuckin' love that car, very nice:)

  • Comment removed

  • It sure is a awesome car ;)

  • white stripes would look better IMO but that is one awesome car non the less

  • i would rather have a good that looked real nice on the out side and is very realible under the hood than some turd ass 73 that looks gay as fuck and is super fast. its nice to have a fast ride but lets be real what gets you the most pussy?

  • Haha, niiice one ;) Got him there.

  • Beefy!

  • love the rims

  • dont listen to speedy409 your car looks way better than his and sounded better! whiether its a chevelle, chevelle malibu, or chevelle ss makes no differce.. its what kind of condition the car is in

  • malibu is a grocery getter in my opinion

  • really? Looks like that "grocery getter" would own most anything it met around town thank you very much. :)

  • Listen to that baby purrrrrr oooooh i so want one

  • i so want 1 off these shame they arnt in the u.k

  • A Malibu is a hardtop, meaning it doesn't have a door/window frame.

  • Thank u! :)

  • Niiiiice!!! Come on man---ya gotta film that beauty doin' a burn out!!

  • *tear tear* my dad used to have that car and he gave it to his brother and didnt keep it back in the 70's

  • The headlights are different and i think the Maliby got a quite slimmer look. And in this one there's a 450 motor. Orginally in chevveles i think its a smaller motor. But not quite shure myself. Not mine though, my fathers! :)

  • what are the differences between a standard model and a malibu?...I don't know much about chevelles =)

  • Shes beautiful, they don't build cars as pretty as that anymore or that sound quite as wonderful. American Muscle!!

  • my favorite/dream car...

  • put some flowmaster original 40s on it.

  • American Muscle all the way.

  • YYEAAAHHHH BOOOIIIII!!!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet little car :D

  • I own a 69 Chevelle Malibu, I love the cars. Got a 454 big block in it. The car is all around beautiful. Keep it locked up from the neighbors...hahaha Very hot car, especially the stripes. You should see what it can do if you havent already. nice car..
