The thing is, this film was evidently well funded as a lot of parts are played by prestigious actors and actresses, I'm yet to watch the film, however, I love the books, I just feel as though if they were funded so well, they should have got it spot on, leaving people wanting the next two books to be released as films. I'm disappointed great books like these get ruined by bad directors etc when they are released as films, another example is the Darren Shan series, very disappointing.

@oC4NDYo It's not the directors fault this movie couldn't live up to the book's greatness, the damn studio (as always in films) wanted the script changed and changed until it became a real mess. It could have been great, but thank god New Line didn't ruin it with Lord of the Rings too much

@SymphoniaTale I like this movie a lot too, it's just too bad it underperformed and they pulled the plug on the other 2 books. They're awesome books and would make great films, but who knows if they'll be adapted. I guess not every fantasy series can be like Lord of the Rings.
