  • your video camera sucks old woman

  • at least u weren't flying through!lol,trust me not a great experience

  • They are cooler at night, because you can see anyting but the light on the end of the wing.

  • I was lucky enough to see something like this and then it got closer and closer and then I was in it and it wasn't very fun anymore hahaha some lightning lit the whole inside of the plane up I was mad scared ahhahahaha and the turbulence was crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy but I survived I love plans

  • Looks like the clouds are havin a party again.

  • were u somewhere over iowa it was storming where i lived in iowa that night southeast iowa

  • crazymario, ive been in the same position we ended up right in the middle of one and it was epic! the turbulence was crazy but i loved every minute. i just wish i had a camera to film it =[ oh well, next time il bring one just in case :P

  • same here i been through a thunderstorm in a plane man was i scared i was only 5 but still an amazing event and seeing all the lighting in it

  • You obviously love turbulence then, I envy that. I'm TERRIFIED of it, the Stomach Churning Feeling is Hellish for me.

  • I got inverted in a thunderstorm in a 260 comanche in north texas back in 1977 in my first job flying bank runs. Nearly ended my career before it started. I had less than 500 hours. Learned a lot that day. A man has got to know his limitations and that he is no match for mother nature.

  • Just to add, it was at night...I was flying east along the northern edge of a cell moving south. I was getting vectors from Ft. Worth center and thought I would be okay. I got it down in Denton and I've never been so shaken in my life, before or since. I was very lucky to walk away from that. I can only describe it as a trip to the pits of hell. But, it sure made me a better pilot.

  • Wow amazing story. Do you still fly?

Or have you become an airlline pilot?

  • the truth is it is strong enough to reach a plain 150 miles away from the storm cloud ive seen

  • DAMN thats awesome...it happened to be once when i was on a plane and i was so shitting myself

  • wow, sheet lightning looks amazing in a plane. thats the first time Ive seen it from a side view in the sky. spectacluar indeed

  • Very impressive display of mother nature.

  • looks like a disco party in the clouds

  • wow this is awesome footage, i always wondered how a lightning storm looked from the skies

  • last night i actually had to fly THROUGH a storm. damn scary. my haert dropped when i first saw lighting and there was ALOT of turbulence.

  • That;s the coolest thing I have seen in a while. Was the flight experiencing any turbulence from this, or were you far enough way to avoid that?

  • thts a whole lotta lightning.....its so amazing

  • Cool!!!

  • Great! It almost looks like the plane is not moving.

  • Lots of energy in those cumulonimbus. What an angle to see it from. Much different then being on the ground. Thanks for posting this it's great!

  • This is superb!!

  • nice remind me of the time i flew from philly to bangor and there was lightning the entire time

  • Very nice! A different and vivid view of lightning from way above.
