some would say this isn't one of WOODY ALLEN'S more "sophisticated" productions.. i just think it's his funniest and has the most heart.."he made my son wear the horns" that scene is funny as hell..
Thank you so much for posting this. Uprated of course, and I support Woody Allen and OTHER artists by buying their prods legit -- you do NO HARM in spreading this person's talent, and hopefully, he realizes this -- I SHARE with curious Europeans and others. He is adored in France, where I now live! Greetings to you from the USA via France, and wow, does this bring back a lotta memories of seeing this movie when it came out and New York! Bless!
@septip123 Not only showing off New York, but I love how he shows off how apartment dwelling New Yorkers live by giving us glimpses into their apartments which are VERY nice to look at. Many is the time that instead of looking at the actors onscreen, I'm looking behind and around them at the apartment the scene was shot in! Too bad I cant afford apartments like those.
@spagandtuna Absolutely agree. I just love this movie. Did you recognize the actor who starts telling the funniest Danny Rose story (In the dark suit)? If you were a fan of the Seinfeld show you might have recognized him as "Jack Klompus," who was "Morty Seinfeld's" neightbor at "Boca Del Vista."
@logancody07 Oh sure, Sandy Baron, who I remembered mostly as a comedian although he was in Hey Landlord and a lot of other stuff in acting roles. I liked his style. But most of the people at that table were actually comedians, not actors.....Morty Gunty, Corbett Monica, Jackie Gayle, all Catskills people and comedians all--NOT ACTORS!!
@spagandtuna Yeah, I know. I really was unsure how to refer to them because technically they were acting. I guess I should have considered them stand-up comedians first and foremaost. Unfortunately, we'll never see their likes again. I don't know if it's just because I'm getting old but I don't see anything at all funny in the young stand-ups of today. Take care.
ooooh, thanks for putting this up here! haven't seen it in years. :0)

Nick Apollo Forte should have won an Oscar for this film.

Woody Allen is quite a versitile character actor. He can effortlessly play: losers, winners, snobs from Long Island, desperate dishwashers, on and on

Terrific movie - fabulous Nick Apollo Forte - everything works in this great and touching comedy - Barney Dunn! ( or should that be "Barney Done"?)

Really the perfect film from start to finish. Definitely in my top 10. Why the hell doesn't Allen himself give this film the credit it deserves?
