  • fond memories of the past..lol!!

  • happiest song but saddest video..

here in america (latin america, the real america) is the same story, sad but always someone is singing a song. Try to reduce the guys marching on the background..

    regards from chile, :)

ps: pls dont remind pinochet... my best wishes dont include selfreminds for my own..

  • This reminds me of my childhood in Ethiopia...it was very popular.... mama Africa love you

  • To those who argue, this is where every other versions come from and shakira did a great job. She made it in a way that can appeal to all while bringing forth that desire for glory(world cup) passion and support from the countrymen of the teams. These guys had a more serious and very different objective

  • Could someone please translate the song

  • africa dance without any added value

  • africa dance without any added value

  • i love this song grave 1985...

  • hahahahah!!!!!! the video is very funny!

  • God! this brings back good old memories to me, Yaoundé and the rest, please , don't you guys compare what Shakira did with this, because the two works are incredibly good (though l prefer this version)whether Shakira took it from Zangalewa or not she did a good job by (am a camroonian)"openning-up" this song to world music.

  • Mehn am so loving this, reminds me of childhood, this song was so popular in Ghana. Guys lets just embrace the diversity, I don't think Shakira will claim total ownership of the song. It was just a remake for the world cup which came with great moments. Cheers

  • Shakira shame on You

  • It's embarrassing that a protest song is reduced to a low level piece of PLASTIC like "Waka Waka" ... Promoting those Capitalist Circus...

I hope no POP singer ever touch Mercedes Sosa, Jhonn Lenon or... oh sit THEY ALREADY DID!?

    ---

  • my fav version is the other one (not shakira because i hate shakiras one)i like the cameroonian 2 that i have heard

  • Secondo me Shakira farebbe meglio a cambiare mestiere.

    =X

  • NO SHAKIRA DIDINT THE SONG FROM HERE, THERE ARE SONGS FROM AFRICAN TRIBE, A LONG TIME AGO, EVEN I USED TO SING IT IN SIERRA LEONE, AND IT'S SONG ALMOST SAME TO SHAKIRA'S, THIS SONG IS SOOOOO DIFFERENT

  • can't stop laughing...fuckin retards

  • @TeHCamill go suck yourself instead of calling them retards! people from different countries do different things, you should accept it and stop calling other's retards

  • @pinkdoryXOXO

dont know what type of inbred are you to like this shit, either you were conceived anally or just braindead to like this.

  • that some big butt

  • CAmeroonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn now this s how we do it

  • @willstyle844 i know ryte thats our ma shit

  • I prefer Shakira's version, but this is great too :)

  • there is no rock version. It's the same. Only some english words added and millions of $ are going to her. She should be ashamed and apoligize for that. Even Michael Jackson has recognized that mamamakossa was from Manu Dibango, Cameroun Artist, because he pursued him about that ! She should have pursued any artist who would have did the same thing to her. She should say the truth and tell to the WORLD : I AM SORRY. THIS IS NOT MY SONG. I TOOK IT FROM ZANGALEWA and I WILL PAY FOR THAT !!!!

  • @annetsys dude I hope you already got the actuall facts, shakira said that all the money from waka waka will be donated to the kids in need.

  • This song was a huge hit when I was a kid in the 80's back in ma homeland, Angola.

  • YEAHHHH BUT FOOTBALL FED SIGN A DEAL WITH ,THE SOUND OWNER ,,SO THERE AINT NO WITH THAT SHE MADE 4 AFRICA

  • even though this seems to be the original, I prefer Shakira's though...

It just doesn't sound the same...

people say african music sounds all the same, but that's not true...

Shakira's version and this one are just too different...

  • even though this seems to be the original, I prefer Shakira's anyway...

It's good, but I don't really think they sound like each other...

now people'll say, african music is all the same, but that'ss not true...

Shakira's version and this one are just too different...

  • I think the new one by Shakira is kinda..... better :-S

  • this one and this one alone is the ORIGINAL.

i am African and i know, Believe it, any other shit around it is bogus.

    peace

  • WTF? Now this is sooo weird and I kinda like it hahaha XD

  • i like it, its funny. seems like they are making fun of the old colonialists

  • wtf?

  • I know Waka Waka is sampled this but Shakira's sounds nothing like this.

  • Im from Barranquilla Colombia i remember this song back in the 80's it was hot that's here she got it from it like original version too

  • Its so excruciating to watch. The new one is far far far far far better.

  • Ho tore koise, tui beshi zanosh!

Shakira took idea from that song, but the taste of the two songs are way too different. I'll want to kick her *s if she denies that she was influenced...but then, in todays world of music it's difficult to remain influence free!

I love the wakkka wakkka by Shakira.

  • @moakhirul you didn't listen to the whole song, shakira has negotiated the copyright with the band and wakawaka is simply the rock version of zangalewa

  • @behenzin

LIES!!! LIES!!! LIES!!!!! AND MORE LIES TO COVER HER FREAKING IGLY LIES!!!

  • @behenzin

LIES! LIES! AND MORE FREAKING LIES TO COVER HER UGLY LIES!! SHE NEGOCIATED NOTHING. THESE GUYS WERE SHOCKED TO HEAR THEIR SONG ON THE MEDIA LIKE EVERY OTHER PERSON DID. I AM FROM CAMEROON AND I CAN ATTEST TO THIS! SHAKIRA OR WHATEVER YOU CALL HER IS A THIEF!!! GIVE TO CEZAR WHAT'S CEZAR'S! SIMPLE Y PUNTO.

  • @behenzin you are liying, shakira did not negociat, she steall and zangalewa will bring her to the court

  • @siewe1000 what

  • @siewe1000 even if she didnt negotiated it they cant bring her to court bcoz she is not gaining any money from this...

  • @behenzin in exchange for sexual favor because they didnt want money

  • @moakhirul This isn't the video of the song she took the idea from. Look at this video:

    watch?v=BHymWkgDOyk

  • @moakhirul What song are you guys talking about...Listen to Waka Waka, the original from Africa (1980`s) it is the same exact song that Shakira sung for the World Cup...Same words,,,,same everything....

  • @moakhirul its because the person who posted this video didnt post the parts that made everyone mad because shakira didnt write this she says she did listen! /watch?v=kHSbpZf8Zy4

  • @moakhirul oh my fucking gosh, shakira is not claiming the song, she was approached to do it for the world cup OMG!

  • Unless a royalty was paid I don't know why this isn't plagiarism. This is more than borrowing whether it was Shakira or FreshGround. Otherwise this is the same as Solomon Linda's Lion Sleeps Tonight see 'Solomon Linda' at Wikipedia)

  • I love the shakira version better than this one,we use to dance to this version but Shakira has taken it to another level.

  • Sorry, but i don't think this is not the original one. I've heard one back home that had all the zamina mina ,waka waka part n i know that is the original one cos i used to dance to it as a kid.

  • @zeeoneA YOU IDIOT IT IS THE ORIGINAL!

    I KNOW THIS

  • C'est magnifique j'aime cette chanson...

  • FANTASTICOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
