Didn't River say "The last time I did that" not the second time, so it is possible that she regenerated again between 1970 and when she met Rory and Amy as Mels.

The Impossible Astronaut took place in 1969 not the 1950's and River said she was a young girl not a little girl when she met the Doctor.

@1967xmen Yes, realised my mistake. It's still too long ago for her to have been a contempory of Amy and Rory. They'd have been born in the late eighties. The Silence must have picked her up again at some point. It doesn't make sense that she'd regenerate into a toddler in 1969/70, stay young for all that time and then suddenly age naturally like a human.

Really good vlog you done here really enjoyed hearing your thoughts & your right rory was really funny in this one lol i think the one scene that i thought was a bit powerfull was where the doctor was crawling towards the tardis & melody says '' look at you you still care '' & he's asking for help from river but she does'nt know yet i thought the acting was superb in that scene.

@LISTERUK It was a good episode with some great scenes. It felt weird seeing such an early version of River but there we go. I will admit there are some elements that still confuse me a little but hope it'll get explained in the finale.
