Wow... I had this song on a bootleg about twenty years ago; never knew what it was called or who sung it. I just recalled the chorus suddenly and typed it into google, and here it is. Thanks for posting this.

Does anyone have the chords for this? I can't seem to find them anywhere. If not I will just work them out for myself. As an aside, there is a version by Dick Gaughan on his website which is just accompanied by acoustic guitar if anyone is interested.

I make no judgements as to whether there is an all-loving god (well, I do, but they're not relevant to my point) but to think that such a god would do something as patently unjust as to punish the children for the sins of the parents is just ridiculous.
