  • I never realised Tom was friends with the Teletubbies. They are even kind enough to let Tom do his video intro in their garden.

Yeah, I bought this game for an Xmas gift and I'm really excited about using the spell book and it's play mechanics.

  • Wow that's one controversial name lol, anyway Zman finally picked this one up and it's available at funagain if anyone looked for it

  • Z-man picked it up. Got my copy today from my FLGS.

  • @finalboss421 what's FLGS' website?

  • definitely clicked on this expecting japanese fashion..

  • Just bought this on the strength of this review.

  • Anywhere you know we can get this from online?

  • @Kytseo It's available at funagain(dot)com at 20 bucks

  • I just ordered this off amazon.co.jp!

lucky my girlfriend is studying in japan right now to pick it up

    YAY!

  • Looks awesome!

Where can I get it on-line?

  • @amichyelenberg

as of now, you can only get it in japan for 2,500 YEN or buy it from a seller on boardgamegeek who will ship it internationally for $50US.

  • Sounds good, I might get this for my Secret Santa target since they were looking at Japanese games like Barbarossa. Wish you'd review that and the other Japanese games you got, even if they didn't include translations and you found the artwork to be distasteful. I mean the gameplay of Barbarossa has been given amazing reviews and people seem to love it -- I'm sure a review from you could help get the game some more fame and possibly an English publisher to pick it up (and change the theme)!

  • Thanks Tom for pointing out another great game. Trying to get the game to the Netherlands will be difficult, but I'll give it a try anyhow.

  • The Katakana in the cover stands for Gree-mow-ar

  • It's published by Japon Brand. They attend SPIEL in Essen every year, and usually sell their games for a very reasonable price, especially in bundles. They also published the original version of Fairy Tales, and that has since become published in an all English version (and many other languages), so we chances are we'll see another edition of this eventually.

  • Nice tie, Tom! =)

  • Looks pretty good.

  • seems great!

  • its pronounced gri-moi-yer

  • @Skurvy2k if its the french pronunciation, it's "gri moi re" if its japanese it's like "gurimoaru"

  • @WelcomeToZomboCom French or English it is grim mwar. Two syllables.

  • @ORCA4312 yes the re is very subtle

  • good vid

  • This game looks very interesting, it's a shame it's so difficult to acquire. I did a bit of research and it seems the game was published by an amateur company and actually getting a copy (if you can find one) can run you upwards of $45-50. Hopefully someone picks it up and republishes it outside Japan, I'd definitely buy a copy.

  • Hmm... Where can I pick up this game?

  • Awesome Review, might find a way to pick it up!

  • the word Grimoire is french and is pronounced |grim'wär| the last part of the word rhymes with "car", roughly. its a name for a book of (usually evil or dark) magic spells.

  • @RamsayJackson indeed

  • @RamsayJackson

    Or just old I believe.
