  • old school yeah....

  • Rockin steady in her daddys car!

  • remasteration needed ?

  • wow! that guitar!! awsome!

  • Great song, but that guitar may be the most rediculous thing I've ever seen

  • fond memories with this one...was on the way to florida when i was a kid and this tune was on the radio.

  • Mr. David Lee Roth is truly admired by his protege Ms. Lee ......

  • Too much make up for stevey

  • great song!!

  • When I drove a motorcycle in 1972...I learned to jump ramps, go over teeter totters, and drive standing on the seat. The way I drove was fast. I couldn't enjoy riding behind someone else driving because of trust, but if I was behind DL I'd be able to sleep I'm sure....

  • Who cares if they look like girls? They are fucking awesome

  • @MonkeysRUNthisPLACE They have long hair so they look like girls? Would you say a chick with short hair looks like a dude unless they are manly? I doubt it.

  • 1:48 steve vai looks like a girl ol

  • @aliceinchains898

Those "girl" looking dudes got more pussy than all the men today. Combined.

  • steve vai is soooooooo good lukin + im a bloke............i think.

  • This is a seriously awesome song. Probably DLR's best solo work.

  • Dave is Much better in van halen

  • Vai was definitely a worthy replacement for Eddie Van Halen.

  • @VeiledReality youre kidding...right?

  • @Lucicsux Not really man. We're talking about Vai here! Yes, I know Eddie is Eddie and he's been a major influence on me, but after F.U.C.K., I think his playing started to go a bit downhill. Who else could possibly fill his shoes other than Vai? :)

  • I wanna see a lard ass like Sammy Hagar attempt some of Dave's flying kicks !!

  • DLR it the man! Van halen had some good hits with hagar but it just wasnt the same

  • All DLR's graduate rose to stardom of their own.

  • もうかなりの昔に!ギターは魔術師スティーヴ・ヴァイ? ・・・デヴィド・リー・ロス“まるで天国のよう(~_~メ)”

  • @blackandtanful - exactly.

  • DAVID LEE ROTH KICKS MAJOR FOKIN ASS!!!!

wOW this guy is awesome. If i have an idol is david :O

  • chuck!

  • This guy WAS Van Halen and cutting him loose was a big mistake. His return tho successful is a bit too late

Like Hutchence Perry and Mercury they were irreplaceable lead singers

  • woo - lotsa pelvic thrusts :3

but this is my favorite song from my childhood, this and "mary moon" by dead eye dick!

  • roth had thee super band before this album...vai, and billy sheehan and bissonette on drums...what a jackass.

  • This must be like Diamond Dave air humping in his Alladin Costume.

  • 80s rock - no email, Internet, mobile phones - life was good w/out these things

  • @cjenkins73 i hear that borther iam 24 and was young in the 90's but i was born in the wrong era...lol

  • @cjenkins73 i was born 1997.. must have been a whole different world?

  • @V1M3F0RPR351D3Nt It was. I was born in 1970.

I'm glad for all the things we have now, but life back then was a lot of fun.

    Better music, FOR SURE.

  • god damn it why can it be like the 80s now! i fucking hate the 2000s i want 80s music, stile and life. im 24 but i fucking love 80s! DLR fucking rocks..

  • This must be just like living in Paradise & I don't wanna go home.....

F***'in ace lyric....terrible video but hey, you can't help but feel good listening to it!

  • After watching this video ---- Chuck Norris seems like a smelly scared pussy compared to Diamond Roth !!

  • jeeeeeeeeeee Stevie na gitarce z Davidem ..........masakra :D czyste złoto

  • superrrr

  • I wonder if they sold men's clothing at the store where he got his outfits

  • Skyscraper studio version: watch?v=rzaO5A1w4d0

  • why is this popping up in cacophony mix, when jason becker wasn't in the band yet?

  • Man the 80s was the best.......you had to live through it to understand. It was all about people having a good time and people were happy back then. Things went down hill quick after the 80s. Kids started walking around depressed and miserable, and now you gotta worry about some kid shooting up a mall or a school. Hell little kids cant even make Christmas ornaments in public schools anymore because someone might get "offended". It's very sad and I'd hate to see this country in 50 years.

  • @WATWUZAT Then fight the pop that everyone is going to , I'm 44 going on 28. just the blessing and curse I live but I refuse to die!!!!

  • @WATWUZAT True words there...I loved all the 80s music especially hard rock, as you say everybody had a party....great times indeed!

  • second best VH singer

  • @illusions23 dont ever expect to get a thumbs up

  • wow i heard the chorus in a trance hardcore song and i was like OMFG its epic but this is total shit o.O

  • @whippou Really?? You happen to know the name of the trance song or have a link?

  • @whippou dipshit

my ancestors spit on you C:

  • 1980's...school holidays...summer...mates...DLR cassette blasting...PARADISE!

  • @SilIyPuddy You were...

  • want to see how great is at martial arts?

    checkout the video DLR WEB

  • dave is the ring leader and the toast master of the immoral majority

    roth on

  • this video brings back great memories being 18 in 1988 seeing david lee roth 1988 sky scraper tour irvine meadows located in Irvine california watching him fly across

the audience on a surf board

making out with my girl friend in a back seat of my car

while we jam to dave on the radio

  • David lee roth y steve vai!!!!¡¡!

  • steve vai looks hilarious.

  • @MParseface38 hey i love steve gay but i have a doubt is he gay???

  • DLR is an ass

  • should be fine for a Game Boy soundtrack.

  • dave got steve and eddie in his music career. how?

  • Love this song! Great sound. David is good!

  • Billy Sheahans last words to DLR... I can't go in there an do what the boss says.

  • For ages, I was convinced that this was a Van Halen song.

  • is this the guy who lost his hair in a firework accident or another chappie

  • cool! if u love rock check out my band from ireland called adrenalin influenced by bands like van halen - d songs called got one way & chink of light also in video response box!

  • @djkk447 I like paracematol band from thailand they r very good..

  • Vai is a monster. This was really really good guitar work. I love his phrasing.

  • is he climbing separate reality in the beginning (i mean its not a free-solo...but hey..)?

  • Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai No1

  • at 3:49-3:52 what was dave saying? 1-800-spanked? like the van hagar song?

  • I miss the big stadium-sized stage set-ups, with the huge light sections, and rows of amplifiers and speakers stacked up around the stage, pyrotechnics, etc.

  • Vai looks alittle ahhh GAY!!!!

  • yyeeeaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!

cant bear a bit of COCK ROCK! x

  • Steve Vai, you'll never be as cool as Eddie Van Halen. This video only cements that statement.

  • I fucking hate annotations.

  • F**k I´m listening to an Ian Gillan playlist.

And then this crap is put in.

What have DLR with Gillan to do?

  • @larteonceagain Who knows, just sit back and enjoy the show. :)

  • @mattnara

    The problem is I don´t.

Do you know, you probably do, that Eddie was/is one of Gillans hughest fans.

Gillan tells a funny story about it in his first book.

And Eddie also later "stole" a song from Gillan. Cant remind me which one right now, but they are clearly alike.

  • @larteonceagain I am a Gillian fan by the way. So in case it wasn't clear, I wasn't trying to put him down in any way. I didn't know that about Eddie.

  • @mattnara

Eddie saw Gillan in a hotel and screamed Ian, Ian I got all your albums.

And Gillan answered: Aha it is you that have them, I have wondered where they gone.

And Eddie saw accordingly to Gillan very puzzled.

But then when he left I´m gonna be a big star some day.

And then Gillad mentioned that it obviously was true since he made a Gillan song in his own name.

But Gillan doesn´t seem to care that much about. He sees it like a fun anecdote only.

  • Just like Paradise...... cool song...

  • lol@ diamond Dave,,, he never changed LOL. and his high spin kicks lMAOO

  • Hey Hunkola... shaddap!

  • 3.10-3.12 ha ha he he

  • Dave looks like he is having a great time! He loves to dance!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think I just fainted at 2:13!!

  • This music has life!

  • Chuck me!

  • This just goes to show that you can have Diamond Dave without Van Halen, but you can never have Van Halen without Dave.

  • go chuck!

  • @DaisyAndDove

I knew i wouldn't be the only one who came here coz of chuck. go chuck indeed!

  • this song is just awsome

  • coke is one hell of a drug

  • chuck!!!

  • its amazing how ppl could dress like this back then but if they did it now and acted like tht today they would b called queers

  • @bartender341 they were called queers then too. it was just more about the music then people were alot more accepting.

  • i love this Song ...

  • If you liked this go and listen finnish band Reckless love. 80's is back baby!

  • music like this nowadays does not exist as this is 80's as...

things evolve and adapt new things. this would not have been popular in the 50's

    get over it dude...

    just saying.

  • There's only one Diamond Dave

  • ow it's the butterfly kick !

  • This is one of the best rock videos in history, thanks for posting it up here, awesome memories and feelings come back when u watch these, i dont think im the only one in that respect, fuck all this hip hop bullshit, emo fag rock, doof doof techno junk, the 80's and 90's rock like this will never grow old or out of date as i believe it was streets ahead of its time, it will always rule and live in our hearts and minds

  • Roth is a cartoon character, which up to a point is fine, but by the time Skyscraper came out the routine was beginning to wearing thin. If I remember correctly the tour was poorly attended in places and the commercial decline set in not long after.

  • @TerryNutkins80 --

Hey numb-nuts.......please put your faggoty face directly in the sweet spot of a David Lee reverse helicopter kick.........KA-BLAM........mouth full of bloody teeth, ya fuckin' ingrate !!

  • breaks my heart that people are choosing indie shit over this awesomness

  • To David Lee Roth, paradise is probably life without Eddie and Alex Van Halen.

  • Jason Becker was the man, well,he still is!!

  • Pre-1984 Eddie Van Halen > Stevie Vai > Sammy Haggar Eddie Van Halen

  • boyzone

  • Honestly never knew his solo albums were so successful.

  • this is a good song i gave it to my friend kendal

  • I wonder exactly where paradise is. And, I also wonder if paradise has a better healthcare program that's not controlled by the government.

  • it sucks your not canadian

  • ustedes peleen pero que buena rola, de hecho buen disco y la colaboración genial de músicos Mr. steve wow you're big man y Gregg Bissonette Master! Eddie eso es humildad y talento Good Skyscraper!!!!!

  • dlr=the best

  • Listen up, dummies........you can say it now........or 10 years from now........or 100 years from now........it will be the same:

" There is no Van Halen without David Lee Roth "

  • theres no Van Halen without Eddie.

  • @Hunkola Um, you have that backwards Boss!! There is no DLR without Van Halen, I'll prove my point: Without DLR, Van Halen had there 1st #1 Album, and sold MORE albums with Sammy. Now, without VH, DLR had a few hits (since casual fans had no idea it wasn't VH since Dave picked Eddie wanna-be's to play guitar for him) and then got booted from his record contract due to NO SALES, went to NY to become a PARAMEDIC and Howard Stern's replacement for 3 weeks before getting fired!! VH wins without him!

  • Yeah, lets talk about Gary Cherone. Or the last two albums with Hagar. They sparked a huge interest when Sammy joined the band and then it went away just as fast. Eddie and his emo attitude and addictions destroyed the best band in the world.

  • They had number ones with Roth. I believe 1984 was one of them.

  • @Hunkola I've said that for years. When Sammy went solo, the "best" thing he ever did was the theme from the Stallone arm-wrestling vehicle "Over The Top", which features the subtle lyrics "The winner takes it all / Loser takes a fall / Fight to the beginning of the end". I'm sorry, did I say "features"? I meant to say "consists solely of". And he needed help from Eddie, Giorgio Moroder, AND Tom Whitlock to co-write that magnum opus.

  • @arcxjo -- Sammy is a total joke either with VH or as a solo act. Go read the lyrics for his 2004 Van Hagar tune called "Up For Breakfast" -- very retarded and hard to believe a grown adult wrote that shit. I think a horny 9th grader with acne could've wrote better lyrics than Hagar.

  • @Hunkola= It's Van Halen, not Van Hagar.

  • @vigo894 -- The real Van Halen has David Lee Roth in it.......the fake Van Halen has a boring tequila salesman as the singer.

  • Totally agree with you buddy,,, gimme roth and roll any day

  • how can you say that? i'm a huge dave fan and grew up with his music, but i also really liked a lot of the sammy material, as did a lot of other people. i mean, how many bands can lose someone as amazing as dave and pull out of it so many hits and good albums like with sammy? pink floyd is the only one that comes to mind really.

  • @cammyfloyd123 -- VH didnt have a lot of good hits and albums with Sammy.......if you look at the sales figures, each Van Hagar album was selling less than the one before it........in other words, Van Hagar was becoming LESS popular over time.......and the exact opposite happened with Roth Halen........Sammy basically just rode the coat-tails of the Diamond One.

  • @Hunkola Im not keen on the band now Hagar took over, Hes still good but lee roth is king

  • @suzukilouis --- Hagar was very uninspired as an artist......read the lyrics to songs he wrote like "Spanked" and "Up for Breakfast" and you will see that Sammy doesn't take being a songwriter very seriously.......on the other hand, listen to the lyrics for VH songs like "Secrets" or "In a Simple Rhyme" and you will see that Diamond Dave is a genius.

  • @Hunkola ... say whatcha want but there's no Van Halen without Eddie or Alex ... the other guys are just employees of the franchise, my friend ;)

  • @klank67 --- So explain why Roth-era VH sold twice as many albums as Hagar-era? After all, it was the same Eddie and Alex in both versions --- so they should have sold the same amt. of records with each singer, right? Still think Diamond Lee was just an employee, dumbo?

  • @Hunkola ... of course I do, why do you think I said it in the first place ;)

  • @klank67 --- Sadly, you have proven to be another Hagar doucher......so blind to the greatness of Sir Diamond Roth.......now go back to jerkin' off to that poster of Sammy in his red jumpsuit......LOL

  • @Hunkola ... judging from the comments on here Hunkola, the only thing we've proven is that you're a douchebag :)

  • @klank67 ---- May your ugly face be on the receiving end of a Sir Diamond Lee reverse flying spin kick !!

  • DLR was Van Halen...the best of the best.

  • DLR IS Van Halen.

  • where is the music like this nowadays? how come the 80's has this and we have to put up with linkin park, nickleback and all of the rest of the radio BS

  • @lelandvampire Yeh well, all the shit is made for kids these days, one can hardly take any of the bullshit that's on air seriously.

Music with real balls and actual musicians who wrote it seems to be dead since 96 or something

I'll see what I can do with it :)

  • @lelandvampire last i knew linkin park, et al, was long ago. I have no clue what is "cool" now. As far as videos go- gladly send me back to the '80's!!

  • @lelandvampire i agree but steel panther are pretty awesome

  • @lelandvampire technically since all of it has already been made, you can get as much of it as you want

  • @lelandvampire linkin park has one song I know you will love I'm 40 and i see your my age so anyway listen to "easier to run" and by the way I dont like nickelbac either but if you listen to octane on sirius xm there is alot of good stuff on there for example listen to seasons after "cry little sister" or even rev theory "far from over" that should get 7ya started later

  • @lelandvampire

Music has to evolve. If you are still stuck in the 80's with simple party lyrics with no real substance then I am sorry to hear that. Of course there is some modern music that shouldn't even be referred to as "music"

  • @lelandvampire Good question?? There are alot of bands out there that could be signed and on the radio. The people want this kind of music back. The record companys have their heads up their asses and cant hear the public outcry for the return of 80's rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lelandvampire hell i listen to old and new rock its all good

  • @lelandvampire= They don't even play Nickelback or Linkin Park here. I don't even turn on the radio anymore. Just some Spanish music and alot of crap too.

  • @lelandvampire Cuz people have obviously become deaf since the 80's plus there's too many angsty teens influencing today's music

  • @lelandvampire not worth a nickleback! like the us dollar .. uteraly worthless

  • @lelandvampire Listen to Reckless Love, it´s a new great 80s style band. Best band in the 2000.

  • @bonitaCa thats the band from finland right? i came across them a while back, they're definitely worth listening to. have you heard of "vains of jenna" they're a cool band from sweden.

  • i dont care much about the song but its great, and steve vai ist great and his guitar is a killer!!! heart-shaped, genious

  • Does the new link work? Anyone?

  • yes

  • @1984rockcity Yep... works great. Thanks!

  • yep

  • hunkola u are so right david lee roth is a 80s g
