de losw mejores discos... les recomiedo la de "no quarter" esta como para quitarse la vida en un sobresaslto apodictico... shhhh es un discazo sin duda :D
What was great about these albums was the manufacturers (Zepplin themselves too) always made them open like a book ; so there were two sides and a crease.
led zeppelin.... started me off in grade 5 in 2005, if it wasn't for them i don't what kind of person i would be they helped me stem my music branches to Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and beyond thank you Zeppelin, thank your for not makin me like the rest of the brain washed mofo's of my time thank you!!!! thank you!!!
@Mariissa1920 Wow. My story is almost exactly the same (although I think I was initiated into the real world in around 2007). And I feel exactly the same as you do.
It's hard to pick a favorite Zep album since they're all good, but this is probably my favorite. This is Led Zeppelin at their best right here, and by best, I mean best in the world.
Any of you kids out there that are diggin' this album: You cannot remotely imagine what it was like to be turning 13 in the spring of 1973 when this thing made its debut. I cannot imagine the premiere of Beethoven's 9th symphony in 1825. Love the music that came before. Embrace it and move ahead. Make your own legends, tell your stories to your grandchildren decades from now. There's still a lot that has not been done. Get busy, and get your asses in gear. That's what Led Zep did. peaceout!!!
led zeppelin simply rocked, one of the best lead singers, now lets say they were going on tour this summer, just saying, that would be crazy, so now are they all that and more, YES, everything they did was great. Could i buy a ticket, that would be crazy too. So i sit back and enjoy the music i grew up with.
"The Crunge" was inspired by the funk music of James Brown. Zep had such wide variety of influences. They weren't just drawing inspiration from blues music but also country, folk, reggae, rockabilly, middle eastern etc. and all in good taste too. That's what makes them great. Not afraid to take chances and expand their music vocabulary. If they had lasted into the 1980's i'd bet you the farm they would have incorporated rap music as well!
@toddwalker7861 - It really was an amazing time. No MTV, no DVD's, no iphones not even answering machines! Every concert was a MAJOR event with a real mystique about it because other than 1 or 2 random late night concerts you might catch on TV, you had to go see headline bands live. You also spent a lot of time listening to LP's. We were lucky in the Washington DC area, to have an "underground" commercial free FM radio station that would play entire LP's from Zepp, Tull, ELP, Hendrix etc.
@oldjizzy - WGTB 90.1FM on the campus of Georgetown U. Check this out. There's this kind of eccentric but friendly guy where I work who's a little older than me. A couple of us were talking about those days and it turns out that he was one of the DJ's for WGTB that used to work the 3am to 6am shift.
This was my first Led Zeppelin album to ever hear. That was a year and 4 months ago. I own every album by them including their live stuff and Coda. I am a huge Zeppelin fan now. This album will always have a special place in my heart.
@jfitz1431 holy cow...I was smoking pot with my buddies while listening to these guys on 8 track. "Dazed and Confused" used to kill me 'cuz 1/2 way through the song it changed tracks, which meant you listened to the song fade away, another song in the background, then a whirring sound, a click, then the rest of the song would come up to volume....I think we listened to that 120 times in 40 days one summer lol.
@MerxXxiILe lols. never mind. I too want Jimmy page. we'll ask God to clone him into two :) Aaa! you are a painter I'm a designer ;) are u on facebook?
