I live in Canada and the house is mostly at 20-23 degress celsius. And actually you dont neet to water a leaf that much maybe once when you plant it and then in 2-3 weeks. Overwatering will actually kill and rot the leaf. Humidity is around in the nearby orhid trays.

Where do you live that you can just pop a leaf in a pot of soil and water? Must be a high humidty environment!
