Why was my comment flagged? The owner of TBWA\Vancouver is on the board of directors at YMCA Vancouver. I think it was wrong that no one from their office dealt with the mistake. Why is it they can take credit for the video but not for terrible executive judgment for producing the ad. I don't think my comment was out of line at all.

I am shocked by the number of cynical and negative comments concerning a video promoting community connection and involvement!

No one is blaming bad parenting on the internet. It is a great tool, but it does have it's place.

As a society we are becoming more and more inclined to live ' faux' lives by observing life on the internet instead of going out and building a real life, with real, face to face connections with people and the natural habitat in our local communities.

I agree with the video. Building community does not mean building buildings. It means building relationships. Whereas since the 1960s we've slowly become a culture permeated by fear of strangers and by the habit of purchasing disposable commodities. We now tend to lock people out of our private worlds for reasons we think justified. I want to take community back too. With all of my heart.

Someone else blaming bad parenting on the internet. Pretty sure until a child is 18, parents can control everything they are exposed to.

In short, blame bad parenting on the internet, but say that the YMCA is a get out of jail free card. nice.
