  • I've had two visits there in the past year, and I found it to be an absolutely beautiful and charming area. The people and their establishments were most welcoming and I can only imagine in the summer months how it must look. I miss being there.

  • its because its predominatly a white area in a white state,.no other reason ,period!

  • @veronicagas No. There are other cities that are more diverse that are 10x better.

  • @SuperBlackChic Like what? Detroit?

  • If it wasnt for the figid cold winters- Madison would be perfect.

  • @Raymond09871 I live 2 hours away, its the only reason why I have not left Wisconsin. It would be perfect without winter !! I mean you can watch the sun rise on a lake and set on the other !! It is a sorta mini version of berkeley. I have traveled a lot from Ann Arbor to Austin tx etc. The traffic is just right in Mad town as well. Small town feel (it is a smaller town) with big city culture.

  • It's true though. I live in Madison and me and the GF will go to other states and visite larger cities and some there is just NOTHING to do.

Here is an example of a decent size city with NOTHING TO DO:

    Des Moines, Iowa.

  • I came from Stockholm, Sweden.....in '76-to WHAT??????? Mazomanie, but I always had buddies that drove - yeah drove down State Street!!!! The Mall Crawl was out of control, cops, insurance companies tried to make all possible, I was completely confused, ..... I was 16!!!!-Sux

  • pretty much the ONLY reason it is bad is that it gets cold here.

  • Ohh i do miss Madison. I lived there for 1 year on an exchange base, and i loved it there! I sure will visit Madison again someday!

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Great job on this video! If I wasn't a Texan I would move there as fast as I could!

    David Winans

    Dallas/Fort Worth Texas

  • Nice job I will favorite this so I can share this with my broader network!

  • Very nice ...Well done to help people get to know the area!!!

  • All true. Additionally, Madison is part of an eight-county region (Madison Region), so there's also wonderful urban rural balance in the area for those who like city amenities without the big city hassle. (Did you know? the region is 70% prime agricultural land as well!)
